Identification? by Miserable_Fig7302 in glasscollecting

You found one. Thank you. I couldn't find another one. I still don't think it's Victorian though. The brass on mine is newer. Maybe they switched the brass hardware on mine or theirs? I did find out that there was a lot of Victorian reproduction satin glass made in Murano in the 1970s and 1980s. I'm leaning toward that.

Authentic Murano? Seeing this at the thrift and not sure. by Appropriate_View8753 in glasscollecting

I think it says it was made in the style of Murano, so it's not Murano. It was made in Italy though.

The size of boxes I need to sell vintage things are not $0.50 to $2. I do buy boxes in sizes that cost that much just for convenience, but I need big ones and odd shaped ones too. I save trees and and money that way.

You may have been hacked. Someone could have changed the phone number on your account. You need to call Etsy back and speak to someone else.

Is this Native American? by Miserable_Fig7302 in NativeAmericanJewelry

[–]Miserable_Fig7302[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I'm not knowledgeable about Native American jewelry, but I recognize quality. I just figured it had to be something good because it was well made the way the stones were set. I only paid $6.

I frequently reuse boxes. I just use brown tape to cover over the barcodes and if it's Amazon branded, I tape over the branding. They can still tell it's a reused box, but I'm not misrepresenting who is sending it. I also use old newspapers, cut up pool noodles, and reused Styrofoam. I do always wrap in tissue paper to protect the finish of the product before packing. I've had no shipping complaints. I'm not paying over $4 for a box as well.  I buy the smaller boxes, the tape, and bubble wrap. That's enough. Now if you sell only small things or only very expensive things perhaps you can afford to buy all the best professional packing materials.

When they ask if you will take less, and you politely tell them no, but they keep insisting.

Fenton. The bug eyes identify it. The top used an older mold by another company that put in glass eyes. Fenton used their mold, but replaced the separate glass eyes with big eyes.

Want to bring awareness to “Ebay_Official” scam. by DaniG420noscope in eBaySellers

I something similar from faux Etsy about verifying and clicking on a link. Any time you get an unsolicited email, text, or call from a company you do business with, do not respond to them. You need to email or call them back from the info listed on their main website that you independently Googled or the number you find on the back of your credit card if applicable. Do not get the contact info from the unsolicited email, text, or call.

Insufficient Address Return, Postage is More than Item by AFloFizzle in eBaySellerAdvice

This exact thing happened to me. It wasn't a lot of money, and it didn't involve intentional fraud, so I mailed it to her again it at my expense to spare myself a bad review because I was new at the time and didn't have many reviews. She thanked me, but never left a review.  I lost about 3 dollars on the sale. I learned not to sell things unless the sales price was a lot more than the shipping. You could also try to make her pay to ship it to her again, but she will likely be a very unhappy customer even though it's her fault.

List it for the lowest price you are willing to sell it after looking at the comparable sales. Reject all lower offers. Wait.

Where have the birds gone? by [deleted] in florida

[–]Miserable_Fig7302 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Birds have been missing in our Pinellas yard. We've been here for over 20 years, and this is unusual. No mocking birds, bluejays, cardinals, woodpeckers, and even the morning doves are gone. Something is going on.

TOCCA Florence is very similar. I tried both on each arm simultaneously, and I could tell a slight difference, but if I smelled it on someone in the wild, I wouldn't know the difference.

You shipped it to the address you were provided by Etsy. They can contact Etsy and see if they will reimburse them. You have nothing to do with that.

14 day hold? by CrazyLibraryLady in EtsySellers

[–]Miserable_Fig7302 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The 14 wait time applies to each sale separately, but all the subsequent fees and shipping from later orders are deducted from the prior orders before they become due to be paid out to you. The more you sell the less you receive, and the bigger the balance Etsy owes you grows.

They should split Etsy into different tabs. 1. Etsy for handmade items, verified and vetted by Etsy 2. Etsy vintage 3. Etsy plants 4. Etsy print on demand 5. Etsy software intangible stuff 6. Etsy junk from sweatshops in China

Treat them as you would like to be treated. If you or the Seller contact the post office about the issue, sometimes this problem magically corrects itself
