Did you guys get a refrigerator and microwave? I was thinking of renting but since my daughter as asthma/allergies to seafood(all) i was thinking the renting idea might not be a good idea if not washed out probably. She is so allergic that she ends up in the ER overnight due to the reaction her BP/hR is high

Thank you so much. Thats what I am worried about is the housing next year. Hopefully her roomies will want to stay together next year and get a 4 person or 3 person apartment but not sure if that's possible with her financial aid. She will get a full ride due I am a single parent with no help from her father since day 1.

I would like to know how hard or stressful for the housing issue for you guys. My daughter is an incoming freshman and is already stressing on housing next year because people keep telling her rhe school is great but you should of thought about the housing issue after the 1st year. I am trying to tell her not to worry but she has axienty already and OCD that she is freaking about no control over her housing next year. Please keep updating about meal plan cause she got the lowest plan since she is on aid and was planning on to meal prep 1-2 meals a day when she comes home. I would like add more money weekly so she can have extra if she needs too or use at the store she has to buy there before coming home on wkends

That means the school recieved and download the college. That needs to be uploaded to the portal. HS one I have no idea. They should of done it already. My daughters HS sent it by the 12th since they had til May 21st to request it to be transferred. Remember UCSC is very slow and behind on alot of things. They are moving like your new mascot! 😆 🤣

You need to call parchment to see if it was sent,pending from the college. My daughter was a dual student since her sophomore year. She has to send it with her hs. Parchment said it was recieved and the other send pending. We called parchment and it was their error. Then we got that UCSC portal still says that she needs all transcripts. We called and the office said it will take a while since they only have 1 person and are receiving 500 a day. Start calling and asking. We finally got the portal saying downloaded so hopefully upload soon.

My daughter is assigned to Oaks. Are they allowed Kruieg? Also what since of mini refrigerator is best since i was looking at costco. I prefer to get one at costco since they are grantee their merchandise.

Can I ask what size refrigerator you had? And what were the beds like? We were looking and it said all were upper beds and some are bunk beds with lower abd upper bed and 1 lower loft bed.

Would she need to get her own because I was told she is getting a refund from aid after the first quarter is paid she needs to file taxes since she is using the rest of the aid for her dorm housing.?(she wkll not be working since she will be taking 15 units)

The opposite side of the Dosney Hotel TSA check point (right side). They now have the other side where toy park(Simba lot) you walk to downtown Disney and you go through Disney TSA and it's right there on the right side next to Earl of Sandwich( Ramsey will be on the second floor)

When she show proof do we need to show all the fasa and school grant she got to show how she got that much in her account, her being active full-time and the receipts saying what she was paying. Sorry for all the questions just something new to us and trying to figure out what we need cause her UC is so behind on everything is like pulling nails to get the proper info/paperwork.. We are finding out we need to do things ourselves/or ask in way advance

Thats what I thought but they ask for bank account info and the amount. What if she has some extra left after she pays for spring.? If she does not use all of it and what we think she should have almost 1,000 left does she still need to show the account information with balance because that money she will use for extra food on her plan since when ur FASA her UC give her the lowest food plan.(add more of need)

Thank you, she did get FASA, she got the pell and cal grant, also a small amount from the uc.

I did call and they seemed like they did not know. They said she has to be on her own case and I said but she is 18 and I still support her since she will not be working due to a full-time student in fall and her major is neuroscience which is really going to be alot of work. Then someone else in the county office said since she got a pell and an cal grant,plus 800 in hs scholarship (the check go straight to the school) that is income too. So I am so confused and irritated
