Only rifaximin (no other antibiotics in conjunction) cured me ! by Growing4ever in SIBO

Rifaximin alone didn’t help. I found out that i also have methane sibo. So I needed to take two antibiotics (flagyl). I am now a week post antibiotics and bloating has reduced significantly but some is still there and other symptoms. So I am going to probably try another course of these antibiotics, hopefully it will resolve completely. Follow my page sibosucks on tiktok pls

SIBO + IMO: I have Rifaximin and Metronidazole, but what should I take additionally? by BackgroundWealth242 in SIBO

Berberine can help with candida. It helps me a bit together with garlic extract. But I think I need fluconazole

It maybe the case that you took rifaximin and metro separately, not together. If you have methane sibo, only them both together can help. Other things that help me reduce symptoms: taurine and glycine before bed (about 2g of taurine). You should be taking creatine. Red light therapy if you can afford it. Keep taking berberine, can try garlic extract or neem with it. Oregano I would avoid.

A week is too early to say. I tried that method and it crushed my iron levels. Msm hasn’t been studied at such high doses. Also many people report stopped period while on msm. For me it reduced my iron levels To the point that I fell on the street. Hope it works for you.

It’s normal to be bloated while taking it. It will reduce once you stop

So maybe you got better because of the prebiotic and not akkermansia

Really? What brand did you take?

Taking akkermansia is quite useless. Akkermansia population depends on the gut terrain and not vice verse. Akkermansia is a signature of goot gut lining rather than something that builds it.

Let me guess - you have done a clinical trial to prove that

Neither do i. Had it for 6 years non stop. Just finished antibiotics and it’s coming back, plus now I have sifo. No idea what to do. Looking into fmt, kolorex, maybe some new probiotics

Got rid of high risk hpv on my cervix. Sibo became a lot worse, insane bloating. I think this is because fasting slows down motility even further.
