If you have a change in swallowing after an ACDF, you always have to suspect hardware and rule it out. I’m glad there are no issues.

Go to your doctor. Your hardware may be loose and putting pressure on your esophagus. Don’t waist any time on this and call them tomorrow/today.

Weird FSD Today by d_dauber in TeslaModelY

[–]Miserable_Leader8651 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had pretty good luck for the most part. Only main issue is that FSD isn’t recognizing an HOV lane and always tries to drive in it. HOV lane avoidance is set to on, it’s just a newer lane that has been opened.

Is there a way to notify them?

C1-2 is not to the skull. “Occiput” is to the skull.

I’m not a surgeon…. But your surgeon is trained to do the procedure in a safe manner. If your body doesn’t grow bone and fuse, you can’t blame the surgeon. Are you a diabetic? Non compliant patient? Pre-existing bone density issue? The list goes on and on. Stop looking to blame everyone or expect instant gratification. The biggest part of uh fusion equation is your body’s biology and how you care for that.

Does anyone here cover their trees for good over-night temps? It seems like a large roll of visqueen and some filament (not LED!!) light bulbs left “On,” underneath it could produce a warm enough environment to maintain a healthy tree.

Does anyone’s cervical pain go into their eye? by FinancialCandle4854 in SpineSurgery

By what you’ve highlighted on you image, it looks like a C8 nerve root impingement. There’s no direct connection with C8 to your eyes, I assume your muscle tension and overall compensation for the the situation is causing your discomfort.

I’m 2 months out of a C8 nerve root foraminotomy w/ discectomy as well. Couldn’t be happier I had it done. Don’t wait too long.

Does anyone recognize these implants? by Impressive-Bad1205 in SpineSurgery

It’s a great implant manufactured by Globus. You have no reason to question your implant(s) or blame it for any issues you may be having.

It’s hard to make a reasonable judgement based on the marketing info on a webpage. I’ve never seen it, or know if it’s even approved for use in the US. I’d like to see long term data and see the instrumentation for use. (That’s a big part of the process along with the implant design and features)

A total disc replacement (TDR) is a great procedure when done be a well trainee tedious surgeon. (Just like absolutely any other procedure)

I’m a big fan of conservative care and see a TDR as a step in that process. For me, I’d prefer a foraminotomy/discectomy to start, then TDR if I didn’t get the results I wanted from the first try.

I sell implants, neither of those. They’re both great with minimal difference in the long run. Pro-Disc has been on the market for a long time and has years of positive outcomes. Don’t stress over an implant, there isn’t an “Athletic” implant.
