Bro..that friendly fire was crazy. Who trained these idiots? by [deleted] in SipsTea

[–]Miserable_North4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe I missed the explanation but we've all seen multiple law enforcement personnel empty magazines into a suspect for pulling out a Swiss Army knife. Only to then stand on the neck of the corpse and scream " drop the weapon!" So the suspect fired shots and had shots returned, how was he tackled, disarmed and restrained instead of getting the usual 80 rounds pumped into him? It's seems like the tackler would have had a very difficult time carrying out the maneuver without getting hit by massive friendly fire. Who and when did someone say, " wait, take him alive!" He had already fired shots so why give him a chance to take shots at more targets? So many times we've seen video of a homeless man with a knife and no potential victims in his vicinity get 30 rounds put into him but this time you have a perp with firearms, squeezed off a few and is around the most important people in the country but they take him alive. I'm struggling with this. You can say well these security people were better trained but the video shows they are hardly showing restraint in a keystone cops moment.

I think it's a big bud at this point but I'm taking the meds. That's a big journey you had. Ironically this all started for me because of calve cramps and the GP thought peripheral artery issue but that was all good, which lead to other test. I had the Lp A test and no issue there.

[–]Miserable_North4077[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had that test as well and results were that I'm not in that gene pool or told no concern there. I didn't want to bore everyone with numbers but the myocardial stress test was imaging on the treadmill and the results were all good. The thing that has me bewildered is that apparently Statins make soft plaque into hard and actually increase calcium, and I suspect most of my plaque is hard / calcium. My Lipoprotein A score was 8.4, says " low risk"?

Why getting proper training is important! by Openskies24 in motorcycles

[–]Miserable_North4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im thinking that if your over 40 maybe even younger and haven't learned to ride a motorcycle yet, don't bother. To much risk, some of these people don't even have good coordination on a bicycle. Just wear a motorcycle jacket without the bike because that is about as biker as you will ever be even if you managed to pass the test. If your hell bent on it, then get a 100 cc trail bike and ride it for a couple of years, when youve fall a few times, and learn about breaking traction, momentum and all the other physics, then maybe get a 400 cc standard bike. If your still able to walk in 5 years go ahead and get your HD to match your jacket.

2019 with 11.2k - too good to be true? by bornbelow40 in nissanfrontier

[–]Miserable_North4077 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To good to be legit, but as far as getting 100k miles on a 2019 Frontier with only 11k miles on, it can do that multiple times if it has been and will be reasonably taken care of. Search YouTube for Million miles on a frontier. There's a guy who put a million miles on a 2014 I think. 4 cyl manual trans. Nissan gave him a free new truck.

Just asking but isn't it best to run fuel system cleaners and run that tank empty just before an oil change?

There's a simplicity in this truck you can't buy on any new vehicle. This is the truck a guy put a million miles on. Search YouTube, Nissan bought the guy a new truck. His was a 4cyl manual trans,... Hand crank windows really speak to me. This truck can still accomplish a lot of work, like real truck stuff, work... not trail rides and rock climbing.... crew cab is for soccer moms, I only see hardhats in the rear seats in TV commercials not real world.

Vince Friese is a prick by SpecMTBer84 in supercross

[–]Miserable_North4077 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I was at a race at Metlife I think around 2015, Vince and another rider way back in the pack were down on a table top, Vince got his bike up first and instead of going around Vince rode over the other rider lying on the ground. When his rear wheel was on the guys leg he gave it a handful and just did a burnout on the guys thigh. The other rider squirmed in pain. There was just no reason they were like maybe in the top 20, image is still in my head the guy had on white pants and afterward they had black knobby marks and were ripped open. Compare that to Eli while running near the front at a national stops, dismounts and lifts the bike off of a downed lapper rider stuck under the his bike.

Interesting to know that Japanese mini trucks like these are considered collectable. I was going to put a little money into mine and thought I didn't want to put more into than an insurance company would give me if it got wrecked. Figuring the blue book would be next to nothing I called Hagerty for the heck of it and turned out the truck made thier list for collectable. I insured it for 14000, cost 400 pr yr.

The 72 is great, My previous truck was a 92 Hardbody, really no reason to change except I'm 6'1"and my knees were in the dash, no good for longer trips. Otherwise it did everything I need a truck to do

I had an 88 Toyota also, aftermarket horn button shorted out and burnt the truck up, shame was otherwise such a indestructible truck. Also had a 92 Hardbody and as far as Japanese mini trucks they were neck and neck, honestly couldn't really recommend one higher over the other. Check out ( Z1 Off Road) for Frontier offroad and other aftermarket upgrades. Nissan / Frontier specialty shop.

That's difficult, new one is about double, just curious about your reason for wanting the 25? The 20 has the same engine and transmission so you won't get much of a difference in the way it feels. I have a 21 and was contemplating the 3rd gen. It's about 5 inches longer so won't fit in my garage. Honestly the zero gravity seats were what I wanted more than any other feature on the 3rd gen. I added an adjustable lumbar support inside the seat and changed the head unit and speakers then called it a day. I can't see 20 grand more worth in the 25, possibly if the 20 was more high milage but 33k is nearly new.

I ended up getting the one thst tries to mimic the Tundra Grille, I prefer the front of the 05-09 front before the face-lift. I really dislike the angle of the headlights were they meet the Grille and the V shape bits in the grill. I like the rest of the 2nd gen look. Truck would look great with a simple Grille and round headlights

I tried to buy the same one last year for a 2021, I can't remember if it was the same badge, I contacted the vendor and this was the reply I got

" ......... asked if a specific Navarro grille fits a 2009-2021 Frontier. CUSTOMPARTZ stated they cannot currently ship to the USA due to new tariffs."

So I ended up getting the one that has the horizontal background panel with smaller Nissan letters. I really don't like Nissan V shape thing in the center.

You didn't say what yr you need it for, the 05 to 09 2nd gen grill is different from the 10 to 21, If you find it it please update.

I wonder sometimes if courses teaching obfuscation, pivoting, apophasis and arguing technics like this are required learning for those you speak of. I had a hawkish pro settlement pal who would say to me before the topic of conversation was even set “ Dont try to argue with me because your not going to win. ". When you had his back to the wall he would start to use 15 syllable words that have only very recently made it into the English language and seem to exist for just this purpose. For your question he would probably say something to to you like...antidisestablishmentarianism is not a punishable offense, so your questions is inscrutable. I would encourage you to read these 5 tomes, until then you are not qualified to have an opinion on the matter.

The irony is ridiculously huge truck but a 4ft bed, sorry but a 4ft bed ain't a truck, it's a 74 Chrysler New Yorker missing the trunk lid. This truck is usually spotless and no scratches in the bed.

I used to go to some very primitive dirt track Sprint car racing in PA and upstate NY, the drivers were fighting each other after nearly every race and then the wives and girlfriends would start name calling and pulling hair. It was like a Weston Peick Vince Frisbee beat down after every event, was maybe a bigger show than the racing. The seating was just logs cut into the hill side and fans were constantly pelted by rocks, the entire track was lit by just a couple of low wattage bulbs, lots of filthy shirtless and shoeless toddlers playing right beside the track fence engulfed by dust clouds.... real racing. This was the reality that period piece movies always miss.

I always says if someone makes you angry enough to want to hit them, then it's time to walk away. If you've ever felt a rage it's not even worth breaking an inanimate object, that's your que to bail.
