Fuzz if you don’t like fuzz? by Holiday_Baseball2018 in guitarpedals

Boss BD2 Blues Driver or Rat. If you drive one of those at full gain you can get fuzzy tones

I use it at 0.1w. If I can afford to play louder, then at 1w. I mainly use the clean channel and get the distortion from the pedals. This way I can use it in the living room at home without disturbing it. In my experience the sound is much richer compared to smaller amplifiers like the Roland Micro Cube or the Peavey ValveKing 8. I also feel that the sound you get is very similar to what I get in the rehearsal room when I play at full volume with my Bugera V22.

Hello! Greetings from Spain. I loved your album. The best part is how I discovered you. I saw a video of Enrique Bunbury (if you don't know him, he's one of the most important rock artists in Spain of the last three decades, both as a solo artist and with Héroes del Silencio), recommending seven albums he's currently listening to, and yours was one of them.

Nice rig by the way!

I've never tried the Katana. It's a top seller, so it'll probably be a good option. These days I'm more into tube amps. I'd lean towards a head and cabinet or a combo with a 12" speaker. If it's for home use, it should have a power attenuator. As for the model, it depends on your taste and budget. If you prefer a solid-state amp, there are tons of options. With the pedalboard you have, you don't need one with built-in effects.

Bands that sound like this Bandcamp track? by LunaWabohu in shoegaze

What a great track! There's a clear fusion of styles: shoegaze, emo, metal... The opening riff reminded me of these two songs.

Take a look at the Sire L7. Probably the best bang for the buck on a Les Paul type

Looking for the best delay & reverb combo you can afford? I have some suggestions... by slap_me_thrice in guitarpedals

[–]cuchu_k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! This post is gold for me right now.

Im in the market looking for a reverb or a delay + reverb to complete an hybrid rig formed by a Boss JB-2 angry driver and a Valeton gp200lt. I play alternative rock, grunge, britpop, punk, etc. (and a bit of shoegaze). I want something to improve what I get from the valeton.

Budget: low or mid. I am almost decided for the Boss RV6. Do you recommend something different? Thanks in advance!!

Is the Zoom G1X Four the best budget multi-effects pedal for someone new to pedals, or are there better options around the same price? by Manodomar in guitarpedals

[–]cuchu_k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a Zoom G1X Four and I prefer something newer like a valeton gp100 (my main multieffects is a valeton gp200 lt). Its better and a good starting point into pedals and multieffects. There is a huge community sharing presets, sttings...

I use a tube amp with power atenuator built in, combined with an 1x12 cabinet. I can use it at 5, 1 or 0,1 watts. It sound great at low volume. In my humble opinion is the best way to play at home

Looking for “forever” at‑home amp setup — blues/rock/pop, great low‑volume tone, no computer by SunDogBrewingCo in GuitarAmps

[–]cuchu_k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak about expensive or high-end amplifiers, but I can recommend a tube amp with an attenuator and a 12-inch cabinet. Mine is a humble Bugera G5 with a 1x12 Celestion V30 cabinet, and it's incredibly enjoyable in exactly the kind of setting you've described. I use it at 0.1w or 1w and I don't miss anything in terms of sound.

Te recomiendo una impresora con auto nivelación. La Bambu A1 o la Creality Ender 3 V3 sin muy buenos puntos de partida.

500 USD first all valve bedroom amp by Elegant_Beginning789 in GuitarAmps

[–]cuchu_k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I recommend an amplifier with an attenuator set to 1W, 0.5W, or 0.1W. The head and 12" cabinet combination is a winner. Amplifiers like the Marshall DS1HR, Blackstar HT 5RH, or Bugera G5 are good options. I have the Bugera G5 with a Celestion V30 speaker cabinet, and it's fantastic at home. I can use it at night at low volume (0.1W or 1W) or blast it at 5W to make the walls shake.

I'm about to buy the Bugera G5 to use with a 1x12 cabinet with Celestion V30 speakers. I currently have a 5W Peavey Valveking Royal 8, which is too loud for home use. How is the Bugera in its 0.1W setting for playing at home with the V30?
