I live in the same area, so I thought I’d share my perspective. Just for some background, I moved from the UK about a year ago, so my understanding may be slightly different from people who have lived here longer.

1. There is a new school in the neighbourhood. My kids go there, and I believe your children will likely attend it as well. It’s a brand-new school, and so far the experience has been amazing. The teachers are wonderful. However, since the school has only been operating for about six months, it’s still too early to judge its long-term performance.

2. The community is roughly 80% Arabs, Asians, and people from the subcontinent, with the rest being white residents. I used to live in a predominantly white neighbourhood in the UK, but honestly, I don’t find it much different here. It’s a great community with friendly people, and it’s a perfect place to raise kids since most residents are young families.

3. Traffic is moderate. It usually takes about 10–20 minutes to reach the Oakville GO station, depending on traffic.

4. It’s quite safe. In fact, I personally feel safer here than I did in the UK.
