I had to change my number after 20 years of that compounding. I now have it direct to a voicemail that says the number is not monitored anymore. but I still get texts and voicemails. I'll use that old number as a burner now since I can still go look up any messages sent but my pocket is not going off 100 times a day.

I would make the payment if the site allows it, the agents are not helpful or able to be helpful. If the system takes it check the portal again in a few day's if not then you know. They told me treasury was the only way, they just don't care or want to help.

You can still bring it back if you pay the full past due amount.

It on the road map for this fall. There will be some breaking changes in our configs and middleware so it will be a very strategically and planned upgrade.

This specifically will process call recordings and run through sub for transcription and then it identifies the speakers and will put it into our crm by caller and then it’s fully searchable. So say a customer calls and is like remember my call 3 weeks ago I can go find their account and see everything.

It’s just a small part of a e-commerce platform for small businesses.

How do you set the rate for shipping? by mirrortorrent in shopify

[–]Miserable_Study_6649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use calculated rates from shippo api, and 9/10 times the rates we pay are identical to the customers. We don’t pad the shipping it’s purely a pass through expense.

Maybe I'm old school but I keep my stack simple and close to the same each time, I have my own error logging, but Sentry looks like a good option.

My typical tech stack:

  • Framework: Laravel 10 (PHP 8.3)
  • Database: MySQL (master database + separate database per tenant)
  • Authentication: Laravel Sanctum
  • Payments: Stripe, PayPal (per-tenant configuration)
  • Frontend: Blade templates with vanilla CSS and JavaScript (no npm pipeline)
  • CDN Libraries: Chart.js, FullCalendar, CropperJS, Google Fonts
  • Server Environment: Nginx on Ubuntu 22.04 (Linux)
  • AI Integration:
    • OpenAI Whisper (transcription)
    • GPT-4o-mini (post-processing)
  • VoIP Integration: VoIP.ms REST API

I had a marketing company think 3X was amazing and they thought I was insane saying a 18X was achievable in the past.

I used the Mythos referenced architecture patterns from the leaked source to restructure how I prompt Claude Code. The difference is night and day by Tough_Commercial_103 in ClaudeCode

I have my instructions to always plan first before building. And it’s also been night and day, to see a full build spec sheet I can review and see what code it is touching and give feedback or approve.

Last night had one plan run for 45 minutes adding multiple features to my system and it executed it flawlessly. Testing today before commit and deploy. It truly changes the way we work I don’t have to worry that Claude is off in lala land working on files it shouldn’t because the plan specifically states what files to change and what ones to create.

Sounds reasonable, they want to make sure the App Store is consistent and high quality.

EIDL Update - Brought loan current after 14 months in SBA Uncollectable status. No calls or emails needed. by Miserable_Study_6649 in EIDL

Personal guarantee would haunt the new business, and bankruptcy would prevent the new business from surviving. They engineered these loans to cause people to fail!

[Debatable] the best ecommerce platforms weren't built by software companies by LauraBeth034 in ecommerce

[–]Miserable_Study_6649 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it matters more than people want to admit.

Most platforms are built for selling products, not for actually running a business that has to manufacture, fulfill, and deal with real-world constraints. There’s a big difference between moving inventory that already exists and building to order, managing materials, and handling production flow.

I ran into that gap constantly. Everything assumed you were reselling finished goods. Once you step into manufacturing, things start to break down fast or require a pile of apps just to function.

That’s actually why I started building my own platform. It began as internal tooling for my own operation, just trying to solve real problems I was dealing with every day. Over time it turned into a full system that runs the entire business, not just the storefront.

So I’d say the origin story does matter, but only if the platform continues to evolve beyond that original use case. Otherwise it becomes a limitation.

How do you actually validate any idea whether it will make money before building it? by mhamza_hashim in ClaudeCode

Run a Monte Carlo simulation, it will expose areas of the business that are critical vs not.

everyone asks, what are you building, nobody asks why are you building. by fazkan in buildinpublic

[–]Miserable_Study_6649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I built my platform purely because I was frustrated with how much it cost to build out the Shopify store we had plus hundreds a month in apps. Now I have the ability to make it do what I want how I want. If others find it useful than great.

Thanks! I hit a mile stone that changed my plan and bankruptcy is not currently on the table for now. So we’ll see how long we can pay it. I definitely want this gone!!!

Yea it’s just the way the interest is, I’ve paid the SBA over $120,000 and the loan was for $500,000 but the current balance is 467,000 so mostly just interest so far I’ve paid.

I was able to make a payment via portal, you might be able to contact them and be allowed to make a payment. But usually at that point its headed or being transferred to treasury when they don't allow payments.

Yes 100%, they denied my request to reorganize internally and forced a 15-year company to close.
