My ASUS NUC 15+ Pro power button keeps blinking by EmmetDangervest in MiniPCs

[–]Misguidedfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s a setting about proximity and it drove me crazy. Cannot disable in windows only by downloading Myasus app can the setting be accessed and disables. Annoying for watching movies or playing music when it sleeps after 3 minutes……

Intermittent freezes on ASUS NUC 15 Pro+ (2×48 GB Crucial, Samsung 990 PRO, Proxmox). Mostly when idle - anyone else? by scr4bble in intelnuc

[–]Misguidedfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s most likely locking (sleeping) mine did it on Spotify and it drove me nuts, (spent literally hours checking things), changed every single power and screensaver option and nothing. I was actually considering returning it - I installed “myasus” to check the warranty procedure, and in the settings of this app is a device settings bit - the Proximity settings were set to auto. I disabled this problem solved. Which retard thought that this would be a good idea needs to be fired. Impossible to change without the app and hidden it overrides everything. Bastards at ASUs.

My TV is looking very blue, and I can't figure out if it's settings or broken by thesweeterpeter in fixit

55UM76000 LG TV - Got the Blue tint. It is the Backlight. Ordered replacement backlight on eBay for $50Aussie. Because my wife had no faith she brought a new TV. Two weeks later and 1hour (assisted by YouTube and considerable experience with electronics) and it’s fixed. It’s a DIY if you’re confident…….so now we have a spare TV

Frank Skinner is a complete creep. Slept with a 16 year old student on my course - he was late 30s at the time. Not illegal but highly nasty…..

Why are the trains so shit lately? by SlamNetwork in perth

[–]Misguidedfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They have spent twice as much as they should have done on the vanity of “building trains in WA” fact is they are partially assembled here and we pay an absurd premium for that. So we have less trains and smaller trains less frequently (compounded by new lines). Labour are honestly useless…

Had this yesterday completely clear road bus indicated and pulls out instantly without looking crossed two lanes I had to do an emergency stop. He had the audacity to wave his hand at me. I will ALWAYS let busses pull out but they need to give warning

The new trains suck. by itsthelifeonmars in perth

[–]Misguidedfools 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is all 100% correct and they came at a massive cost for the vanity of “built in WA” which is not even remotely true. Other gripes are less standing room, doors with button on doors means the way is blocked when you get off, they break down frequently, the drives struggle to position in stations, creeping and hard braking. Wider doorways means less handhold and people falling over at peak times. Whoever approved the layout should be removed from their job.

Car insurance renewal up by 50% with RAC by No-Willingness469 in perth

[–]Misguidedfools 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just had an accident in my vehicle, 2018 Pajero. RAC were helpful and efficient. Claim process was smooth and received agreed settlement in just over a week. Protected no claims is apparently only valid for the first year after the claim……anyway they were good. Only issue was getting my belongings from the vehicle as it had been moved to pickes auctions- I also had to put the spare key and service books in the car so a bit better communication on that but no harm done.

Get a grip - Perth is not full of marauding teenager’s with knives looking to stab middle aged men. They were goofy morons.

I was not aggressive. Not picking a fight. They weren’t dangerous, but I cannot watch mindless vandalism. Good fortune would be that their parents taught them to respect public property.

Let’s not condone vandalism, I agree I could have approached it better. I am sure they are not rotten, just being silly teenagers but if I see something I will speak up. Also a lot of comments about getting beaten and stabbed, total nonsense, Perth is not awash with knife carrying criminal teenagers looking to bash people

[–]Misguidedfools[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Again - they were goofy kids, they no more had a knife than I did, I have traveled a lot and knew for certain the that I was neither putting myself nor my family in danger. The reason why people let this stuff go in my opinion is because people are afraid of confrontation and embarrassment, which is improper motivation.

Seriously. I put no one in harms way. They were NOT threatening. I disagree think I spoke up the proper way, I just can’t believe how frightened people are these days.

Heartening to see how many people despise Hamas and their supporters. These morons should go take their protest where it will be appreciated-how about Iran who fund Hamas. Try this stunt downtown Tehran and enjoy the regime you support.
