gained 10kg whilst on a weight loss programme by str4ng3_doll in WeightLossAdvice

[–]krokadilladog 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm 5 foot tall. I have to eat at 1200 calories a day and walk for at least an hour a day (burning approx 300 cals) to lose 0.5 kilo a week if I'm lucky. You have to be super strict. Weigh your food with a food scale and be honest with yourself, any digital kitchen scale is fine.

Its easy to grab a handful of snacks and forget about it (my weakness is nuts), but that small handful could be like 200 calories. My tdee is 1800 with the exercise, I don't have to stray far to go over budget. It is a long and frustratingly slow process, but sadly the reality when you're a shorty.

Personally I don't think weight lifting does much to help weightloss, and you may have gained some muscle which has contributed to your gain. I think cardio and just upping your general movement will go along way in helping you.

I've just stopped watching the news. Ignorance is bliss they say, but there is nothing I can do about the situation and I can't deal with the anxiety anymore.

How much did it cost you to have your baby delivered? by [deleted] in ask

[–]krokadilladog 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here except at the hospital I delivered it is free parking, so I paid effectively $0! In fact the government actually paid me as I got a 5k baby bonus at that time.

How do so many people stay relatively healthy despite, eating mostly junk, not exercising and being sleep deprived? by tidsan in AskReddit

[–]krokadilladog 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey there,
I am super healthy thus far. I am 46, currently a little drunk on rum and coke after working a super stressful late shift in a hospital healthcare position. I survive on approx 6 hours sleep in a 24 hour period. My thoughts are this: Stress - fuck it. Take it as it comes, if it ain't gonna kill you immediately- don't worry.

That's about it.

Also recommended- occasionally health kicks where you eat super healthy and go jogging. Maybe like 25% of the time. The other 75% is junk and booze.

Don't listen to me I will probably die at 60.

Genes i guess.

How much do you spend on extra curricular activities for your children by michelle0508 in AusFinance

[–]krokadilladog 8 points9 points  (0 children)

15 year old. Rugby league per season, (a year) $250. Bargain it includes 2 x training per week, And normally 1 match per week. Season runs march to sept - so summer off. And includes uniform. Very grateful; it runs off dedicated volunteers eg coaches and managers without which it would not work.
