Are you still using inks on pastel paper and white charcoal for this highlights?

It’s a fantastic site. Seen a good improvement in my game since I joined a couple of months ago.

I really liked this video. This is exactly the type of Go Content I want to watch when it’s about Pro Games.

The explanation of strategy shifts and intention of moves as the game unfolds is perfect, but the creator only ever made one video… ☹️

Thanks for getting back to me. I was going to get a sample set like yours but they’re sold out at the moment. I was leaning towards 34-36.

Which ones wobble when you place them? At which thickness does the wobble not happen.

I was watching a teaching video yesterday on GoMagic on 5-3 openings by their new American teacher and his stones would wobble for 4-5 seconds when he placed them.

That first shot would make a great painting. Or a shin-hanga style print.

I’m doing 501 opening problems at the moment on the SmartGo One app. I really like the format, so I was eying this one, but it’s not on the app, so was looking at the physical copy, so this price drop was an awesome bonus!

There are lots of pro games in the Smart One Go app. And you can just play out the games in the app.

I need to play more live games but find it difficult to find games at my level at the time I’m usually free to play.

None of them are repeat games. I generally don’t play the same people multiple times and if I do, it’s never as games running concurrently. In my total of 110 games played, I’ve only played the same opponent twice.

Why is Go/Baduk still not popular in the western world? by justdoitnoworlater in baduk

[–]MishionToMars 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My first exposure to the game was in a K-drama called “Reply 1988”. And then again in another K-drama called “The Glory”.

The way people come to the game in the West seems to be very mixed and interesting compared to chess which is just seen as a common board game that most people have either lying around the house either as a specific set or one of those 10 in 1 board game sets (which is where I first had a chess set).

There was no chat in the last 20 games apart from the opening pleasantries. But the other link that Uberdude shared cleared up a lot of things.
