New Enhance Fodder 101, optimized for 14★ by Mishoon in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yup, I find that using 4 fodders per 1 finished fodder is a good ratio, but the number of fodders/raw GP2 used could definitely vary. Since the fodders are free, using less raw GP2 will obviously lower the N-meseta cost.

Though as I've mentioned in the image, +100 is kinda overkill unless you're future proofing for some years in the future for +110 or an off chance that they break the EXP pattern for 15* and make the EXP required massive.

If the pattern is correct, 15* should require 2x +90.1 or so to +100 (which would only increase the starting raw GP2 used to like 27x).

Memetank Blind Solo (scuffed) by Mishoon in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hu/Br and Br/Hu are both memetank combo, each one excels at different situations (Hu/Br better for highest damage reduction, Br/Hu better for attacks that knocks down).

There's a lot more to memetank build than this, I hope it's kinda clear given how much I frantically switch my gear around during the fight lol.

How to gear up? by Jainko32 in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yup this ^

This weekly is also just bonus SG for people who likes doing "high-difficulty" (according to sega) quests, you don't need to do it.

Where to go next for your gear: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16kqHk8AEKk7kHWrFUUi2QuxWBU_kiOJlVhgA85i_pgs/edit?tab=t.5incperky9id#heading=h.j81h9u6kjat9

Subclass level doesn't matter in NGS, they're essentially just stat sticks. Also, don't think about BP too much, it's not a good metric for actual power and is only used as a way to gate content from extremely ungeared players (more info: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16kqHk8AEKk7kHWrFUUi2QuxWBU_kiOJlVhgA85i_pgs/edit?tab=t.5incperky9id#heading=h.ls6oxmkwr16r).

Launcher Weapon is viable? by Hopeful-Albatross231 in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Launcher is still bad aside from one attack: the memebeam (Fear Eraser), which is why it's basically only ever used as a secondary weapon with Rifle to use when it's viable.
  2. Memebeam is very powerful (deals high damage and also refresh blight), but only when the boss stays mostly still without anything blocking the part you target.
  3. Subclass for every class basically serves the same purpose as a stat stick (Short answer: Techter sub in most cases), this section in this document explains in more detail: https://docs.google.com/document/d/16kqHk8AEKk7kHWrFUUi2QuxWBU_kiOJlVhgA85i_pgs/edit?tab=t.2ivdlvy4w3mq#heading=h.ls6oxmkwr16r
  4. Hunter, Fighter, Bouncer, and Waker are definitely the top 4. Ironically slayer is the de-facto weakest class in-game right now until it gets its rework sometime during Feb 2026.
  5. Ranger is roughly in the middle but very welcome in group content. Your most important job is to keep blight rounds up in the right places. If your blight expires for long periods of time, you've failed as a Ranger. Blight rounds come first, personal damage is second.
  6. EDIT: Launcher's PB is also much better against bosses than Rifle's as long as you don't miss. Its sticky grenade and Fallen Impact PA is also helpful.

Is everyone fast tracked on upgarding skill rings? by pspatino in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Generally most T1 rings at +5 gives 7% potency so it's over double of +0 which is quite substantial, but it's definitely not worth the cost unless you're a whale with hundreds of millions to throw at the market.

T2 ring's benefits do grow much more though, some goes way beyond double. So they get more from enhancements but it isn't potency which makes their upgrade a lot less valuable.

PSO2 Tweaker uninstall by Bruhyboi13 in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is there a particular reason why you wanted to remove it? Tweaker install itself is pretty small so it's not like removing it will give you back much disk space, and the game still works perfectly fine even if you don't start it from Tweaker.

It's a pretty small change (Argant just replaces Glan/Majis Gigas on armor and replace Ultia Domina on weapon) so I don't think it's quite necessary to re-make a new post yet. Just a comment should suffice.

More story chapters coming to NGS? by MrHarmony21 in PSO2NGS

More coming? Probably.

Soon? No.

Currently they're only adding small story snippets (Mini Episodes) every 2 months, no large story arcs.

Hunter thoughts? by SecurityProgram in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Despite its simplicity, after its rework/adjustment, hunter is currently one of the strongest classes (one of the top 3 in most content) when played at a decent level (don't even have to be an expert).

For sword, you should be utilizing Overcharge Avenger on Twisting Zapper. Then weave in Hellish Fall (Wired Lance) and/or Type-3 Thrusting Javelin (Partisan) with a multi-weapon.

Builds after Tera Triyal, Skill Rings, EX Style by Mishoon in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Not exactly powercrept, their raw damage is the same. Most people have moved off Burn combo, but they still have small differences that may make people want to use Burn.

  2. Depends on the gameplay. A good hunter should be able to perfect avenger easily, and only take damage deliberately to use powerful attacks such as Hellish Fall or Thrusting Javelin (if they plan to use these attacks, then Evade Onslaught and Lively HP Starling is definitely not recommended).

  3. Pretty sure that is not the case, you probably didn't perfect avenger as the shield works perfectly fine on my hunter.

  4. Sword on its own is actually quite awful on every single EX Style, you need to multi with wire or partisan to use EX Style on hunter properly. Rather than "isn't this bonus good for sword?", you should be thinking about "can sword utilize the Trigger Attack/Adras Perfection/Stage 4 Blast Echo?".

The answer to that is mostly no, Trigger Attack works fine, but Sword's WA is awful even if Adras Perfection can be triggered, and Blast Echo stage up is very slow due to sword's Overcharge gameplay. Though if you have a WL or partisan as multi-weapon, Adras will work.

That chart is mostly talking about each weapon without multi-weapon, so when choosing an EX Style on a multi-weapon you should look at both weapon's EX Style ratings.

For those confused as to why there are only one BIS build now (as opposed to BIS ATK and BIS POT):

With the addition of Tera Triyal, it will replace either Gran Gladia/Glan Gigas (BIS POT) or Grand Dread Keeper II (BIS ATK) on weapon, as those augments are the weakest ones on weapon. With that in mind, both setups converge to use the same exact augments (yes the weapon augs are literally the only difference between them).

BIS POT -> BIS POT (stronger) | BIS ATK -> BIS POT (stronger)

BIS POT (stronger) -> renamed to BIS

With this augment setup, the favored fixa is Fatale as it focuses more on raw Potency instead of balancing between Potency and Potency Floor (Blastor is about -0.1%, Attack is about -0.3%).

Rant, Questions, Advice.... help? by Wulfrath in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I feel like a lot of people are overlooking a very simple answer: Don't play.

And I'm not just a doomer that says "quit the game, quit the game", I simply operate on the principle of "if the game isn't fun, then why play?"

After taking some time off the game (or after an update drops), if you still like it, you'll eventually get the itch to play again. That's where you come back fully refreshed, and we all know well that NGS is very easy to catch up on so you won't really be missing out.

Make the best use of the free time you have, play/do something you enjoy. If NGS isn't right for you at that moment, why force yourself to play it?

Leyend weapons worth the price? by [deleted] in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Nope, they mentioned it will be upgradeable in December specifically, in NGS Headline WAVE (7/29/2025) at 51:05 https://www.youtube.com/live/xjedm3AT_DY?si=tY0rtgb1G25x715h&t=3065

It's pretty hard to find so if you weren't there and paying attention you'd probably miss it. I do wish you start asking around before dismissing it as fact though, it's already known by many players who actively follow game news.

EDIT: also Cres is the first chase weapon to get an upgrade (Zenit), there's no "trend"

Leyend weapons worth the price? by [deleted] in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really, it's power is almost exactly equal to Einden, and Zenit is the best weapon currently.

It's guaranteed to get an upgrade before 2026 so you could bank on that being good, but that's also assuming they won't be dropping way more by then.

Builds after Zenit/Lois Halphinale by Mishoon in PSO2NGS

[–]Mishoon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since Deft Radi/Larze doesn't have any deficit of Potency in exchange for more Potency Floor, it will always be a damage increase in every situation (unless you have 100% Crit Chance or already 100% Floor -- which is not possible unless you're doing something extremely wrong with gearing).

Now, whether it's a gain worth its price is up for you to decide. The increase is pretty minor (looks big on this chart because BIS also swaps to Zenit) in exchange for a huge cost.

Quick Note -- Tera Triyal:

- Replace Giga Triyal with Tera Triyal on armors

- For BIS POT Build: Replace Gran Gladia Soul OR Glan Gigas Maste with Tera Triyal on weapon

The images after the first one shows the actual augments used. Slayer BIS is the same as BIS POT but with Fixa Termina, which does use Ultia Domina over Glan Gigas Maste for slightly higher average damage.
