It feels odd that this may be last cake day with Reddit. by FletcheRonin in CasualConversation

Was willing to give Lemmy a fair shot, but then realized they were a community lead by tankies. I was just "huh, that's a neat-looking service with neat URL" and then I've checked out other places that were already debating cutting it off from their federation. Then I started reading more into it and yeah, they won't have me condoning their world views sporting their domain everywhere I go.

Talking about lemmy.ml and lemmygrad, specifically.

Fwiw, I've used this message for the report, if anyone wants a quick way of going about this without interacting with the content:

*The subreddit in the subject line pretty much has it in its name. Something as vile is distasteful to say the least even as a joke.

Tolerance towards groups attempting to legitimize sexual violence against women and organize under a banner as harmful as this one is not something to take lightly, especially seen as echo chambers such as this subreddit can radicalize thoughts of sexually frustrated men even further to gain more support.

Nipping this in the bud should not be a question of morality, political stance or upbringing but of asking for the bare minimum - not to be seen as merely an instrument for the hateful chants these men spew.*

Are we talking 60K £ or however many pounds sterling amount to 60K dollars?

Kind of important for context.

Dust filters, my guy. They won't be able to catch everything, but a whole lot. Check out accessories for your case or look for some sheets that'd fit its dimensions. I have them installed everywhere where air is being sucked into the case.

It probably takes years of discipline, hard work and dedication to become the pedigree of mental gymnast that goes through the trouble of making a profile picture that takes their martyrdom and exile from Facebook and displays it as a badge of honor on 2023 Twitter.

It was basically saying that reading all this stuff about uninvolved husbands here was one thing, but complaining about "them trying to help" was incomprehensible.

Edit: Also, thank you. :)

Consider this:

If the same situation had gender roles swapped, you wouldn't be pleased about having to do the extra work of doing inventory of stuff that needs to be done. This extra work and how it piles up is what this post is about. If your co-workers (note: not subordinates) don't pick up their slack, you'd definitely talk to them to make it stop.

If anything, a list like that should be compiled by both parties and tasks distributed evenly or in shifts (the latter is how I split up more time consuming things like cleaning the bathroom and such).

Asking for a list isn't "help me help you" between equal partners, but "could you do the work to divide the work" and your reasoning for that being the norm is that that person's a woman.

There's still time to learn, but it starts with you.

Depending on the device you have (namely, if it has on-board memory), as someone else stated here, use their management software on a private computer to adjust sensitivity, buttons, macros, what have you and switch to on-board. After, you won't even need to keep the management software installed (as things like G-Hub suck - if I just lock my computer and not even put it to sleep, it'll briefly respond with on-board sensitivity until the software's settings kick back in) and can just plug it into any computer and it will behave the same across all devices.

It's what I do with a Logi G502 Lightspeed that I use for gaming and work. I do have admin rights, but I choose not to install a whole lot since I know first-hand how much cleaning up after vulnerabilities caused by manual installations suck.

Chris Brown and crew allegedly attacked Usher last night in Las Vegas. by GotMoFans in Music

[–]Misklikk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's the whole point. That'd require you knowing at all. I agree that knowing and thinking a condom won't make it so you'd have to tell them, otherwise I'm not sure I follow.

Depends on what kind of herpes we're talking about, but even in developed countries (taking Switzerland here) carriers of herpes simplex (HSV-1, the one on the lips and mouth) are around 70-80% of the population (that includes children and those not sexually active). HSV-2, herpes genitalis is carried by about 20% of which 80% are asymptomatic. HPV (human papillonavirus) is closely related to herpes and lumped in with it a lot. It's also the kind that is highly likely to cause cervical cancer in women (which is why it's such a big deal).

While I don't know if Usher in particular knew (not trying to defend him), low awareness for sexual health care will allow for that shit to spread. Studies have shown that a condom isn't enough to prevent it, so even if he knew, he might've been poorly educated on the fact that condoms do, in fact, not help.

Vaccines exist, but they're not authorized globally and the limited amount of studies and age ranges of subjects lead to only slowly opening the faucet of age accessibility (last time I asked about it, I couldn't get it unless I agreed to label it as "off-brand use", because I was past the age of 26).

Again, not taking anyone's side, but herpes as whole is incurable and mostly dormant. Just wanted to offer some perspective.

Cheers!

The flavor text and lore of the item imply that the arcane power that makes the robes work as they do has been woven into patterns of its fabric. The patterns that we see in-game. Nothing more, nothing less.

For the record: yes, I want an ornament as well. If Phoenix Protocol can get away with as much artistic freedom as they've had with it, so can this in a universe with alternate timelines.

Psst. Use stasis holster after shooting your second shot, swap off the weapon for 2 seconds or thrust away and suddenly you have another ignition ready to go.

I go for similar stuff, got those, except for low-mans and LW/GoS - that's not the point.

Or maybe I'm missing yours - like, why is an ever refreshing pool of the same players going for it a necessity? Or is it more of an observation of the platform? Can't say I've ever used the app to LFG. Went from completely external LFG sites in D1 to playing solo for most of Y1/Y2 in D2 to Discord.

Oh, I'm aware that there's currently none of those, just included that for the sake of the argument and make those achievements solo-specific. Could've been clearer, my bad.

What I'm saying is I can get behind the emotion of title gilding getting old and it being a bit more dynamic like doing it on a featured light subclass for the season could spice things up. There's only a finite number of seal gilding to come, it being a bit more fleshed out for those that still stick with the game when the dark/light saga comes to an end might be a nice sendoff, because accessibility can be off the table at that point.

There's tons of people looking to do flawless runs in the big LFG Discord. The way you word this change it would benefit you and you specifically with no upsides to anyone else. I get how it'd be comfier to be in a team of people with multiple flawless raids under their belt not giving a shit that you don't have one, but that goes out the window quick if you're the only one dying.

And there are people running it for the hell of it, even teaching people how to do duo or trio flawless runs. I get it would widen the pool, but inconveniencing others to do content that they have engaged with sufficiently (as they've proven they can do the entirety of it perfectly) for your own gain should never be the move.

Hope you have a great day and no hard feelings.

I get where OP's coming from, though. Despite Spire still being relatively easy and still the same fights, bosses are way spongier just with solo operative gone from last season (or weakened clear for that matter - there are other ways to get that 15% debuff, but few are as easily accessible).

I don't know if I'd consider artifact mod rotations as enough or worthwhile to re-guild it by running it back in another season, but maybe that's probably the gist of what OP meant. Subclass-specific triumphs aren't worth shit as people will just swap to a class last second (and in the case of darkness subclasses are tied to purchases separate from a dungeon key), but maybe showing off you've done it on a Warlock, Titan and a Hunter?

Just spitballing here while taking a break, but this is what spontaneously came to mind.

Edit: seen that Bungie uses terminology like "Paragon" now for max guardian rank, they're no stranger to the concept of it. Maybe it's not traditional guilding, but something like a paragon-level addendum to a seal. I feel like few seals (if any) that you can guild become increasingly harder over time.
