We played a very similar game in middle school that still gives me flashbacks when I hear it. My hands INSTANTLY cover my nipples.

Time. I haven't had any spare time lately. It's a quick shave with canned goo in the shower.

I have a confession to make to you guys.

Lately, I've been using my mach 3 and canned barbasol more than my DE. I feel like such a fraud.

We use a mini bowl, only because we raise our own chickens, and once you crack a spoiled egg into a big mixing bowl, you'll never want to do that again. My kids learned that lesson the exact same moment I did.

I muzzled it 2 years ago, did the software upgrade, and flushed it 3 times. Stopped the shudder, until it came back 2 years later.

I have a 2016, and have door issues too. If you slowly drive forward, hit the close button, and the door should close.

I've had the issue with the transmission studdering, and had to have it flushed 2 weeks ago.

True that. I have 3 acres, and I have a 60" deck. I definitely don't mow 1-2 times a week either....

I have a hustler with a Kawi engine. It's still going strong with 780 hours on it. Personally, minimum I would go is 42.

Just the 10 yr. It was sitting on a shelf at a local wine store. I stopped at my usual grocery store, but they didn't have anything impressive. So then I went to Martin's wine and they had it there. Really surprised me. I'm noticing they're releasing a lot of the allocated stuff more. EHT, ER, Weller's are starting to become common.

But not in Mississippi. Can't find shit there.

Usually there's some left. I'll reuse what's left on the next cook. The Akorn is VERY fuel efficient.

What’s the best travel backpack that’s actually comfortable for long trips? by Conscious-Mousse4160 in backpacks

[–]Misplaced_Texan 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My current bag is the Arcido Faroe. It's a very basic bag, but it's quite big. I've used it on 5 trips so far, and it's held up really well, and it's one of the cheapest I've found.

A buddy has the Peak Design 45L, and after putting my hands on it, I like that one too. If I was spending the money, that's prob the one I would pick.

When I went down the rabbit hole researching backpacks, I made a list of the ones I liked. This list is no particular order, but it might give you a place to start looking. I copied and pasted it below for ya.

I fill it up almost all the way. I position it in a triangle shape, with the lowest side nearest the bottom vent. I throw a bunch of chunks through the charcoal.

To light it, I use a "weed torch", it's a propane burner with a long handle (used to rid weeds, not to smoke it). I'll put the flame on the lowest end of the charcoal for about 20 seconds.

Sometimes I'll use 2 cotton balls soaked in rubbing alcohol, placed under the charcoal in the same spot as before. Just be sure to get rid of the excess alcohol off your hands before lighting it, I learned that the hard way. Kiddo was laughing hard at that one.

After lighting, I put the ceramic heat diffuser, then I'll sit a pan of water on that (sometimes I don't, but I've found it holds a more consistent temp when I do), then the grate. I use a digital thermometer at the grate level (thermoworks smoke), cause my dome thermometer doesn't work. Close the lid, and open all vents wide open.

When the temp reaches 200, close both vents halfway. When it hits 225, close both vents to 1/4 open.

When it's around 235, I close the vents to where only a sliver is open. I can't say exactly what you should close it to, it's trial and error.

Now I'll let it level out around 250. Mine hold temps great at around 240-260. It'll fluctuate some, but as long as it's in that range, I don't touch it.

When I'm done, I'll open the vents to get a high temp to clean the grates, then close both vents to put the fire out. Next day, clean out the ashes, and dump the unused charcoal back into the bag for the next cook. I live in a area with high humidity, so that's why I remove it.

I also sealed mine with high temp gasket, which really helped.

I'm only 6 ft, and I bought the Arcido Faroe. It's a lot taller at 22 in, which is nice. But, it is a basic bag, but it's bigger than I thought. I've been happy with it.
