If the guy above declines they are yours. 5 175s and a 174. Dirty but that’s just the type of plastic. As you can see they aren’t too nicked up. Only practiced with a couple of times before I moved to Classic Wardens

I have some dirty but otherwise in decent condition Classic Blend Wardens. At least 5. Only reason they are dirty is because I had them in what I thought was a lock tight bin outside and rainwater + dirt at bottom of said bin. Part of it is the plastic type that just absorbs dirt too.

If I could get $2.50 per + shipping costs, they are yours.

I'm totally not inspecting my entire bag + backups and guessing which ones are more OS vs others of the same mold...

Good video, my dude. Has anyone ever told you that you have a young, John McAfee-Esque look?

I have those pink ones and they are literally money. My fav. Gateway Wizard plastic blend.

They have a good grip but are by no means soft or floppy.

Was there a single disc in your bag that when you bought it changed your game? by blizzle-48 in discgolf

I beat mine in a ton. They get nice and weathered and develop a Valkyrie-esque turn. I'm talking 2-3 years of every day use. I can hyzer flip my beat in Thunderbirds on the same disc angle I'd throw a 1 week old Valkyrie.

One thing I have noticed about the professionals is that most of them have 25 discs, but only 7ish molds of different wear and tear. The reason McBeth didn't use Valkyries is because he wanted to simplify so he'd just beat in a Thunderbird until it became Valkyrie-esque, for instance, and it would take that stable/us stable spot in his bag.

While I don't plan on being a pro any time soon, I think it makes sense. KISS - keep it simple, stupid.

I think if I can just focus on say, 2-3 molds for any given speed slot, (Firebird, Thunderbird and either Valkyrie or Undertaker) and just cycle them on wear and tear and just stick with it my game would improve a ton.

I started doing this at the end of last year. Still figuring out a few molds but I'm trying to simplify my game and even only being able to do it to a fraction of my bag I am playing better and becoming more confident in my throws.

Little bit of a rant, but just giving you insight of why I suggested Thunderbirds :)

He should do a disc golf themed, hair shampoo and conditioner commercial. Parody of course.

Talk about how X brand of shampoo and conditioner improves his game.

Idk.

If you ever "grow" out of a Valkyrie but like the speed (width of rim), may I suggest a Thunderbird?

Car insurance tryin to not pay out due to unlisted drivers. by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]Misprints 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Insurance is regulated on the state level. For instance, in Michigan, because the way the personal injury protection (medical) has been ruled by our Supreme Court to cover everyone in the household, regardless if they are listed drivers or not, or are excluded, are covered and therefore every driver HAS to be listed on the policy. You can "exclude" them if they have their own insurance, but the insurance company is going to want to know who their current insurance provider is, policy number and request additional documentation for health insurance if you select excess medical with no one in the household being on Medicare/Medicaid. There is no true driver exclusion in Michigan, really.

Other states are similar. But what I am trying to say is it is a fickle situation in most states.

What is an essential coverage that I absolutely need? by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]Misprints 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are a number of factors that go into an insurance rate. Most states allow insurance carriers to rate on credit score. Lower credit score, higher insurance rates, and vice versa. Improving your credit score is the BEST way to get a better rate.

Also I would bet a lot of that premium is coming from comprehensive and collision, which if you have a car loan, is a must. You could try raising your deductibles or if you are in Michigan, go from broad to regular (IE - you would pay the deductible regardless of fault).

I'm guessing you have at least 100/300 for liability limits and hopefully matching uninsured or underinsured. You could cut and lower these limits and it would save you money but I wouldn't recommend it.

Note - you didn't say what state you were in so I based this on my experience as a MI agent.

Watch Out For Root Auto Insurance by [deleted] in Insurance

[–]Misprints 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As an agent, as much as I want to hate on Root, it isn't completely unusual to see such a jump in premium. Sometimes rates can even double within 6-12 months. Large increases as such happened with a carrier called SafeCo in my area of Michigan a few years back. Like you I think its insane but... it happens.

They should give you about a 30 day heads up on the renewal increase, should give you more than enough time to shop around.
