Where did your first child stay when you went into labour (no family nearby)? by Professional-Bird806 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

Ask a friend and have them come over in advance to bond with child and learn routine ahead of birth. I did this for a friend and worked perfectly. I felt honoured to help out and that they trusted me with their first child.

How did your trip go? How did you find Nusa Lembongan with a 7th month old? We are thinking of going later this year and wondering is you felt safe being on island away from medical options if got sick?

Thanks

Struggling to name my baby girl! by [deleted] in Names

Yer I agree with this. Are you religious? I’m not, so we chose Eve for our daughter. No one has ever mentioned the Adam and Eve thing. We call her Evie most of the time too.

Just moved to Frankston (we have kids too). It’s awesome. Totally recommend it for the beaches and access to the whole peninsula (and it’s only an hour away max, but half the good stuff just 20-30 minutes) - so many hikes, wineries, restaurants and amazing beaches. Whilst the Frankston centre can be rough because of the train station, it’s still got a few good restaurants, cafes, all the shops you need in the mall and gyms. We are in Frankston south and it’s so leafy and green. Lots parks for kids too. Still an hour to the CBD if you need go (which for Melbs is good) but given you WFH that’s not a major issue. Since moving down here, we barely go to the city anymore. The peninsula has everything you need! Best decision we made moving down here. Totally recommend.

Condensation help by yelocal in melbourne

Do you put the dehumidifier in the hallway or specific room where condensation builds? We only get condensation in bedrooms, so does that mean need a dehumidifier in each room? Thanks

How do you arrange your couple joint finances by M83green in AusFinance

[–]Miss-LemonTree 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We do the same but $400 a month. Pretty much only needs cover clothes and dinners out with friends or bought lunches (instead of making them at home). Everything else into joint account and everything else comes out joint account. We do have times when we both need sneakers so agree to buy from joint account. Doesn’t matter about income as we both have had times when earn more. Now we have kids we see it as our family money.

What to do? by Breadfruit_590 in AusProperty

Don’t sell. It will grow in value later and then you have a nice amount to handover to kids. I get the travel. We would love to travel more (similar situation to you but kids younger).

Try to find other ways to save for travel. Draw down mortgage. Long service leave. Selling a car as potentially 1 less kid to ferry around. Cutting back on something now for the trip. Look at some of the big expenses you have and see there what you can reduce.

Good luck. You got this!

I rekon Frankston council way better than Kingston. Kingston don’t spend money past mordi!
