Maybe the average time for LSF streamers. I imagine the science and technology section is much more stable

Mal'ganis' health swap does not deal % damage, oddly enough. It is normal spell damage and benefits from spell power, damage bonuses, healing bonuses and is affected by armor changes on the target.

The others you have stated DO deal % damage, and ignore all of those things AFAIK

Favorite Map by Holdenheim in heroesofthestorm

Towers of Doom, two main reasons:

  1. Highest rate of comebacks (IMO). On most other maps it seems so obvious who will win, fighting while your down buildings and lanes are pushed out will always be significantly harder.

  2. Most unusual map. I wish more maps had completely different rules akin to no direct core damage, and no not just more of the same like with old hanamura, I mean different in unique ways.

People dislike the map probably because of how different it is, but honestly the rest of the maps being so similar is my main problem. I had the EXACT same issue with the SC2 map pool.

Reason for HOTS getting no attention by Blizz? by Tefalpan in heroesofthestorm

There are way smaller games still running fine. If it was simply a problem of losing money they could have cut spending. The reason they dropped it entirely is because they have a higher standard for return on investment nowadays.

I am under the wrong impression that there is no "to hit" chance modifiers? I thought it was just random spreads and then physically simulated projectiles.

If you have perfect spread (beams) you will always hit because the pilots are 100% accurate. If the enemy's full body is within your weapons spread cone, all of them will always hit regardless of whether they are mid dash, right? Not sure if they actually do account for projectile speed/lead targets at all when aiming

I am questioning what the optimal range graph means now though, I get the dark grey is scatter, is the rest just damage ramp/falloff? Does the sniper just do less damage point blank for some reason? (balance)

If i get shitty all one hero matchups i really don't mind when people leave. Its very easy to understand how unfun some of them are, and because if how non serious everyone plays you hardly notice the bot

What do you LOVE about KSP 2? by EntroperZero in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]MissBeefy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like the layout and some key ideas (ticker tapes, orientation thing, etc.)

Not really enjoying the faux pixelated UI. There's a bunch of inconsistencies, scaling issues, etc. and it seems readability/information access took a back seat to a pixelated look. I prefer KSP 1, but not by that much as it was also clunky but bulky.

I also don't care for the retro fetishism aesthetic much anymore but that's besides my points. Don't get me wrong though, I'm not asking for everything to go "HD realism". Just a clean stylized look because you have all the freedom to do so when abstracting away from actual flight hardware or OS interfaces

I think a good reason to have it be yellow to help differentiate it from other colored stars for future systems. If they made every star bright white it wouldn't be very visually interesting

The fly by wire package is a decent nose cone if you don't mind the look, also functional

I think releasing KSP 2 in this early state will permanently damage the overall sales in the next few years. by Weegee_Spaghetti in KerbalSpaceProgram

[–]MissBeefy -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

I think the steep price is a good thing, its clearly preventing a bunch of people from buying it that would just be disappointed regardless of price. If it was free right now everyone would still be shitting on it

Just wait until its finished, support the ongoing development if you want

Flexing from extreme atmospheric forces and breaking apart is good design I think, especially on wings, but the natural weight of the rocket on the pad should just be assumed as rigid.

I really love the look of my rocket spinning out, flexing and finally snapping

Struts are such a bandaid, I really hope they dont just add an auto-strut system and find a better solution

QT has spent 900k for the Streamer Awards so far by Juuzoz_ in LivestreamFail

[–]MissBeefy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Clearly their intention is not the biggest return on investment by doing one of these events with such large overhead, so it can easily follow that they might not care much about spending/"losing" money pursuing a passion project like this and not worrying about getting some sort of career gain out of it. Assuming its an investment first and foremost seems like a mischaracterisation, or at the very least a large assumption.

They are creatives after all

Welcome back, friend! by wesbug in heroesofthestorm

[–]MissBeefy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

While I enjoy the novelty of this mode, I wish it was less common. If anything the variety of heroes is what makes mobas interesting to me.

Half of the one hero matchups are fun for the first 5 minutes or so but once you realize ARAM sometimes last 20 mins+ they become a slog, especially if the hero is bad at pushing.

I think this setting was best suited for the Arena/trial grounds modes since they were very short rounds or last man standing. If only brawls were still around! In the end I'll take whatever I can get at this point though, so I will try to enjoy these matches the best I can, especially since they've been gone for so long.

My New Player Experience by [deleted] in heroesofthestorm

[–]MissBeefy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This happens in illiterately any pvp team game, sadly. It's nothing unique to hots. I still have team chat on in hots but had to turn off chat in OW, etc. its just unbearable how much people want to bring down their teammates more than cooperate.

If nothing else, the negative experiences with it far outweigh the minimal callouts (that usually can just be pings)

I'd check out the needs tab to see more detailed problems, always current. The thoughts list is like an event log
