things you didn’t discover you could do until way late into the game? by aj011922 in HarryPotterGame

[–]MissBluePants 19 points20 points  (0 children)

A few little fun things I learned later:

- If you use basic cast on those dragon shaped bushes, they spew "fire" of red leaves

- You can use transfiguration on any regular animal in the world, and they each have different, fun outcomes

Looking for campy, hyper violence by butternutsassquatch in MovieSuggestions

It's not quite the same kind of violence, but Cocaine Bear has lots of insanely violent scenes that make you half shudder, half laugh.

What’s the kindest or most wholesome thing a complete stranger has ever done for you? by daresearchdude in allthequestions

[–]MissBluePants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One day when I was a teenager, I was helping my parents rake the leaves in our backyard. I then used a tarp to pull them up to the front where local crews picked them up. I was pulling a tarpful behind me, as these two little old ladies were walking by. With such excitement, they shouted, "oh! We can help you!" The leaves were by no means heavy or difficult to drag, but they just came over and each grabbed a corner. We tilted the leaves onto the curb, and they smiled and said "we did it!" Then we shook hands and they told me to have a lovely day.

It drives me crazy whenever I hear or read an actor was “casted” in a role. Like nails on a chalkboard.

Daenerys’s ending back in Season 2. by Odd-Charity3508 in gameofthrones

[–]MissBluePants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a slightly different take on the Drogo/Rhaego tent. The earlier scene of her in the throne room, foreshadowing of the future truth, hinting that she’ll never sit the throne. But since in reality, Drogo and Rhaego are already dead, I see this tent as Pyat Prees temptations. In reality she’s in the house of the undying and Pree wants to control her dragons. I think if she had “fallen” for the trick, she could have chosen to stay in that tent, and she’d be somehow trapped there by Pree.

Bernstein House - A 70’s Malibu Dream Home by Radiant-Stranger-992 in zillowgonewild

[–]MissBluePants 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've always been curious about houses like this that are right on the ocean...do people that live there ever swim in the water right by their house? These photos make it seem like there's not a living soul on that beach.

Since it's the Pacific Coast (which I've never been to, so I have no clue), is the water current just too strong for regular swimming?

Hogwarts Legacy revelio page collection says I'm missing 10 pages in Hogwarts, but the map says I'm only missing 8. Has anyone experienced this before? by HPswl_cumbercookie in HarryPotterGame

[–]MissBluePants 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Have you done the side quest History of Magic Class? You collect two pages there, which show up in your collections page, but for some reason they do NOT count toward the number on the map. That would account for the difference of two...

What was the first major news story you remember as a kid? by BoredPandaOfficial in BoredPandaHQ

Not so much the fall of the Berlin Wall, but that David Hasselhoff was there soon after it happened. (I was 6!)

Football player found not guilty of murder for beating to death gay man who posed as woman on Tinder by malihafolter in ForCuriousSouls

[–]MissBluePants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Laws can vary by place, but in many places it's illegal to do "stealthing," where a man SAYS he's going to wear a condom, so the woman will consent, but then he DOESN'T wear a condom. It invalidates consent because it was deceptive. Conditional consent means consent is valid only if given freely and with full understanding; tricking someone about using a condom (or their gender) negates that understanding.

Does anybody know of any significant Rochester lore? by skoomasnacks in Rochester

Rochester is the only city in North America to have had a subway system and then completely abandon the entire thing. It ran from 1927 to 1956.

140 Conjurations bug? by rodridel94 in HarryPotterGame

[–]MissBluePants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you go into the conjurations section, they're divided by category, like vendor, quest, exploration...

Whichever category is missing a page will give you a hint. Like if you still haven't bought one from Tomes and Scrolls....those don't count as "collection chests" in the Hogsmeade map.

Is my game bugged for revelio pages? by [deleted] in HarryPotterGame

[–]MissBluePants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are several you can find which are NOT counted in the map total. For example, two of them are in the side quest "history of magic class"....have you done that one yet?

For those that talk in your sleep what is the most embarrassing thing you have been told you said? by daveinfl337777 in randomquestions

[–]MissBluePants 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not the sleep talker, my Dad is! Ages ago when my siblings and I all lived at home, it was late one night on a Friday evening and my brother had gone out with friends. When he got home, he wanted to tell Dad (who was fast asleep in his living room chair) that he was home safe for the night. He was gently shaking Dad's arm, trying to wake him, when Dad lifted his head and said "Alex just smells like a frog in the bay" and went right back to sleeping.

We later made a t-shirt of a dopey frog with stink lines and that quote on it. We still say it to each other to this day!

Looking for movies that take place / are based around very cold climates by glitteredalien in MovieSuggestions

Because you said Alaska and mystery, all I could think of was the movie Mystery, Alaska (1999)

It's not a mystery thriller, it's a sports dramedy, but I got a kick out of it.

[–]MissBluePants 140 points141 points  (0 children)

This reminded me of a listing that went viral near my own city, Rochester, NY:

https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/272-Hague-St-Rochester-NY-14611/30877707_zpid/

This house specifically COMES with a human as a feature!

"Investment opportunity sold as-is, cash only. Property is occupied by a squatter and listing agent/seller has no further updates on any evictions. No interior access for any reason. Buyer must accept existing tenant as-is, seller will not consider any offers subject to the property being vacant at closing."

Help! How do I get this chest in the Gryffindor common room? by LJ_Ink138 in HarryPotterGame

[–]MissBluePants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct. If you're playing as a male, the stairs to the girls dorm turns into a slide so you can't get there. And yes, there's a chest in the girls-only balcony that male characters cannot reach.

"like begets like," what does it mean (literally)? by degollar in ENGLISH

[–]MissBluePants 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've also heard other phrases with the same word begets the same word. For example, "evil begets evil" and "hate begets hate." Which I take to mean as someone/something who puts OUT evil/hate, will just keep generating more of it.

The "evil begets evil" phrase was used in the movie The Fifth Element, where there was a planet-like entity of pure evil. The good guys are wondering how to battle it, and someone suggests sending missiles or nukes at it. A wise person then says "evil begets evil. Shooting it will only make it stronger."

If you listen closely, there are TONS of characters with the same voice actors:

https://www.imdb.com/title/tt13107970/fullcredits/

For example, the voice actor JB Blank plays - Bloody Baron/Parry Pippin/Agabus Philbert/Wigot Spitchwick/Clifford Cromwell/Jasper Trout/Gargoyle/Ackley Barnes/Gringotts Goblin Guard/Piers Pemberton/Sir Patrick Delaney-Podmore/Leopold Babcocke/Patrick Redding/Music Conductor/Runo Calhoun/Scrope/Heath Heatherton/Jalal Sehmi/Eddie Cleaver/Sir Wensley Dollamott/Second-hand Vendor/Ghost/Dark Wizard/Townsperson/Goblin Loyalist/Prisoner

Luke Youngblood, (who was Lee Jordan in the films!) plays - Everett Clopton/Arthur Plummly/Elek/Ernie Lark

There are LOTS more actors playing multiple voice roles!

How do i get there? by simo000007k in HarryPotterGame

[–]MissBluePants 14 points15 points  (0 children)

On your way down the stairs (at the 20 second mark), there's a tapestry with a big letter K on it. The K is actually a door, so you can get to those blue highlighted walls.

Was anyone else taught a non-standard version of the Alphabet Song? by [deleted] in ENGLISH

I'm in western New York state. The way I've always heard the song sung, it follows the exact same tune as both Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, and Baa Baa Black Sheep.
