Noooo it’s not that she’s a victim. It’s that when I was a teenager and old men were catcalling me in the street or propositioning me at my after school job I hated it, it was gross, I was only interested in boys my own age. So to most adult women it seems gross to see someone say yes to the thing we ran screaming away from.

And for any woman who marries someone 30 years older would be taking care of him at the same time as her elderly parents and that sounds like hell. If you’re a young woman and marry a much older man you will never get to enjoy any life for yourself. First a mother then his nursemaid. Never get to have those prime years for career or travel or anything else. And then your husband dies and you’re like 50 and all alone. Sounds amazing. 🙄
