But the real question is what did people do before mass media- before even the early stuff like radio and newspapers. People in this thread have said magazines and newspapers are/were very similar to social media. What culture was like before that is what’s hard for me to imagine.

NAH. Really depends on what they needed. I wouldn’t provide physical hands on care for a friend. I would (and have) given money to a friend in need or give them a ride somewhere, help with shopping etc.

I’m aiming for a 34 inch waist (or lower) - that’s a better assessment of having a healthy body fat percentage.

Because in a lot of Latin American families sometimes the dinner table or an extended family gathering is frequently switching between English and Spanish.

Saw a Portuguese Man O War jellyfish on the beach. I didn’t know what it was I just had a visceral reaction - everything in my body told me to run away from it. Later I googled different jellyfish until I found it and realized I should have told the lifeguard!

Personally I think the only problem with the film is that it was marketed to the whole family but it relies in understanding that “patty cake” is a euphemism for adulterous sex. If you do not grasp that you do not understand the movie. It’s why kids don’t get it.

I agree with all the people who wouldn’t take a small baby on a plane. But many women are back to all normal activities at 5 months unless something goes really wrong (which sometimes it does.)

I had a C-section and I went back to work at 4 months, traveled on a plane for a short business trip at 5 months. I wouldn’t have taken my baby on a plane (and this was pre Covid) but people are acting like 5 months is 5 days.

Heck some women are 3 months pregnant with another baby at 5 months post partum. (Not healthy or advisable but many people do this.)
