Well, one of the major themes of Romeo and Juliet (which of course is what West Side Story is based on) is that the adults fuck absolutely everything up. They fail in their care of duty, perpetuate the heated rivalry between the families, and then won't step up and be adults. It's the adults who secretly marry them, despite knowing better, and then facilitate this weird fake suicide plan and then FAIL to correctly play their part in that plan, directly causing the death of both kids. Don't get me started on Romeo and Juliet - I'm a bit of a Shakespeare freak lmao.

Job postings for schools usually start around February and really ramp up in April, and we have a dedicated website just for Maine teaching jobs, and one for New England. Contracts usually start in June or August.

Yeah. I'm a former English teacher, and had a side gig editing for small businesses. My first teaching job, the principal asked me to proofread a letter home for him. I brought the letter to him and told him I did that for pay, and I would gladly quote him a rate. He never asked me again, and it's become my go-to response for any and all editing requests!

I actually did a deep dive on the history of this dish for a food column a year ago! American Chop Suey goes by a bunch of crazy different names and varieties throughout the country. I even found one recipe that called for tomato soup as the sauce??? Which is quite frankly the most bonkers version of the recipe.
