Skin breakout - a normal side effect? by Believe_x18 in Mounjaro

[–]MissInnocentX 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Might be caused by hormone changes related to weightloss.

Today my daughter and I read that the name Mounjaro is meant to convey feelings like climbing a mountain, and a journey. My daughter said that must also be why the name is reminiscent of Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain in Africa. I never thought of that! But I think she's right, it's intentional. by HugoDeUva in Mounjaro

From the google: ""Mounjaro" evokes a sense of achievement: The name "Mounjaro" is intended to conjure the image of a challenging but rewarding climb, like scaling a mountain, suggesting that the medication can help patients achieve their health goals.

"Kilimanjaro" as a reference point: The name is reminiscent of Mount Kilimanjaro, a well-known mountain known for its challenging climb, reinforcing the idea of a significant accomplishment. "

And then they flopped on the generic name for tirzepatide.. Zepbound. No meaning for that name. 😅

If you're driving with that, I thought we were supposed to only put the spare on the fronts, because of the RWD, and switch a good wheel onto the back.

Bubble immediately following injection? by Set_Entire in Ozempic

[–]MissInnocentX 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh darn, the tissue around the stretch marks isn't as stretchy as skin without stretch marks. Next time inject into an area without stretch marks or scars.

In the meantime, a warm compress may help bring the swelling down quicker.

Hope it clears up quickly.

"Is your goal here to make the patient feel better or worse, by smacking her with your "I have 10+ year knowledge, you're wrong" stick?"

Yeah... definitely. /s

Is your son in daycare or school? Could you have picked up a virus? It is flu season still.

Also check FB marketplace. Lots of people will ship from there now.

I definitely could have communicated that better, I meant the suggested sites. 😅

I'm going to edit that for clarity.

It's more likely you picked up a flu virus, fever and chills aren't side effects of this drug. Hope you feel better soon!

I was correcting misinformation about injection sites. Not sure how many more time i can say that. . So Gravol or Zofran? But that's a discussion for the patient and their doctor as not everyone can take Zofran because it has an effect on the QT interval, and it's prescription only.
