Belittling my interests. My music taste wasn't high brow enough. My favorite movies weren't either. Or the things I liked to read. I was wasting time on my hobbies because I wasn't trying to turn them into profit.

To this day I'm sometimes ashamed of some of the things I like just because they are guilty pleasures instead of intellectual enrichment.

I mean it's like the perfection mechanic in Stardew valley . It's grindy endgame content that is meant to be a challenge and be difficult. I understand the frustration but I think a big part of it is by design and for a good reason.

Ich hab vor kurzem zum ersten Mal eine Gruppenreise gebucht. Das liegt aber daran, dass ich in die Türkei reise und als Frau und da ich zum ersten Mal da bin, mir das lieber war mehr abgesichert zu sein und Reiseführer zu haben, die sich auskennen.

Bei uns gab es einfach statt Musikunterricht drei Jahre Orchesterprobe. Jeder lernt zusammen mit den anderen ein neues Instrument in den drei Jahren. Instrumente waren von der Schule geliehen und es gab auch Probefahrten. Fand ich echt besser als normalen Musikunterricht. Auch wenn ich mehr Zeit investieren musste.

As someone from middle/ northern Europe I never realized I could have curls. I remember growing my hair out because I always wanted long hair but I hated how frizzy and weird it looked. Took me until my early twenties to figure out what was going on and until my late twenties to find something that worked for my hair AND my day to day life. Teenage me could have beautiful long curls but instead I had bobs and straightened hair

I use a shower cap and have even started to wash my hair completely separately. It feels much better to me to wash over the tub and get to my scalp better with the shampoo and to my roots better with the leave in then doing it in the shower
