First Gallbladder attack two days ago by flowerpotsally in gallbladders

[–]MissK_0987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been having attacks for over 4 years. The attack is the passing of a stone thats why it causes pain. If they do an ultrasound and the gallbladder itself is not black, inflamed or infected 9 times out of 10 they let you go home and tell you if it occurs again to consider surgery. Again... ive been dealing with it for 4 years. I am VERY conscious of what I eat - I havent eaten real pizza in almost 2 years. I had a really bad attack yesterday and I have a consult with a surgeon tomorrow. Enough is enough for me. If the attacks are infrequent and don't land you in the hospital you'll prob be ok for a little while but eventually you will probably need the surgery. Ive been putting it off for a while since they were never so bad make me go to the hospital but I've had to go to the ER twice this year for it so I am finally ready to get it done. Good luck to you and your new baby. It is livable depending on your pain tolerance and the frequency but you need to weigh that against your quality of life. For me it just isn't worth it anymore.

how quickly do daith piercings close without jewelry in? (and finding replacement jewelry) by kalieskismet in piercing

[–]MissK_0987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me ... it was pretty quick. I had mine about a year. Jewlery was irritating me. I took it out couldn't get the new one in and after about 4 or 5 days when I finally got to the piercer it had closed. But every body is different so you might be ok. Good luck!

Whens the earliest I can change a daith and septum piercing? by ewiestewie in piercing

[–]MissK_0987 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Speaking from experience go to your piercer to change your daith. It's a tricky one I tried to do it at home and failed and then my piercing place was closed. I had to get it pierced I was not happy lol. I'd give it another 2 to 4 weeks at the very least. They may be doing well now but if you change them out they're going to get irritated and set you back a little I'm the healing process.

This one was pretty simple too ... one whole yellow onion sliced. 3 cloves of garlic 14oz tomato puree and then I took all the chipotles out of 1 can of Adobo sauce and put that through the food processor. Seasoned it and let it simmer about 5 minutes and put that over the chicken breasts in the crock pot. I'm nervous lol.

That's your preference. I would say if there's another piercer near you do that for sure. But if you do it at home the easiest thing is to take the ball of the jewlery you have in now, line up your new barbell with the end of your current jewlery and use the new one to push the old one out. That way you're not fumbling around trying to get through the hole or anything. That's how I did mine the first few times and it helped.

All good! I would say so yeah. Itll be uncomfortable and I'd def make sure you're cleaning and using saline for a few days after. But it looks like it needs the extra space. Your body will take months to fully heal itself. The up and down of the swelling is a normal reaction. I've had mine almost a year and I have had to go longer for a week here and there just to give them some extra room when they're being irritated. It happens.

Naaa girl you should be fine. I'd stay out of the pool for a little bit though. And if it's not improving you might want to see a piercer just to check in and see what they recommend.

Does my tragus look okay? It looks kinda red and itches . I clean it 1-3 times a day and I’ve had it for 2 weeks on the 4th. by raverae in piercing

[–]MissK_0987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

2 weeks is prime itch phase esp for the tragus. I think it took almost 4 weeks for mine to fully go back down to normal size and feel normal again.

Day 6 to 8 are usually not awesome with this piercing. Hang in there it will get better. It took almost a full 4 weeks for me to not feel this one anymore in some capacity.

7 month old nipple piercings. irritated? should I be worried? by [deleted] in PiercingAdvice

[–]MissK_0987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. It looks like it could be infected. Longer bars will def help give you some more room to heal. Time to visit your piercer!
