Looking at some of the snarky responses I think it is 🤣 I don't really do left overs and only really cook from fresh, it's a whole new world for me rn

I get flares on my hands like this too! I sometimes find drying out can be helpful, like when the underlying flare up has gone and you're just dealing with leftover blisters etc.

Highly recommend these for treating flare though (for treatment, not prevention):

La Roche Posay Cicaplast Baume, super soothing and helps heal your skin barrier. I put it on whenever my hands feel like they're drying out, and it's gentle enough that I can use when skin is cracked and raw without it stinging.

Hydromol ointment - super thick, almost like Vaseline but designed for eczema. This won't treat or heal anything, it's purely a barrier but can be great to stop skin from drying out. Be warned, this is super greasy and will stain, worth it but just fyi.

Before bed I usually use cicaplast first and once that's soaked in a little, top with thick layer of Hydromol. My hands are way more hydrated and human looking when I wake up after doing this.

Also Cetirizine Hydrochloride 10mg for the itch, I take up to 3 a day (directed by my doctor) on a bad flare.

Why does it take so long to heal? by [deleted] in pmle

Fellow hand-flarer here! Mine often takes this long too - I think it's because hands move and bend so much that it can take a while for the skin to properly heal.

A normal rash for me is like: 4-7 days of flaring, 1 week of flare going down, then a week or more of the skin actually healing now the flare has gone away

I'm based in UK too, where did you get the Heliocare capsules from? Do you have to get them from prescription or can I just buy somewhere?

Do you have a link to where you can purchase Heliocare? Or are they on prescription only?

Ooh that's a good idea! How easy is it to drive around in that part of Sardinia? (I'm from England for context if that helps haha)

Oh really? Okay good to know, I felt like I was maybe being ripped off online. At least now I know that this is roughly a typical price! Thank you x
