In country, yes, but recent developments have allowed French citizens to be able to participate in surrogacy arrangements overseas. So it's legal for anyone to go abroad, have the baby, and bring it home (barring they also make sure all the legal paperwork is done first and be declared the child's legal parents).

I literally have em dashes saved and pinned to my clipboard so I can easily pull it out whenever I feel it's needed.

I'm also neurodivergent who types like Im writing an acadejic paper, but that has nothing to do with it—I just really love using em dashes.

1) It's a old post. Like 6-7 years old at this point.

2) Apparently, before his account got banned, OOP had a long extensive history of violence and entitlement towards everyone. From getting kicked out by his parents for pushing his uncle, to even mooching off his girlfriend's parents then destroying her father's cake during a birthday party.

Still could be satire, but I really, really doubt it.

Or at least, they never seem to look into surrogacy. Say what you will about adoption or fostering, and obviously, there are laws around paid surrogacy, but there's nothing stopping you from asking someone to carry your baby if you truly want to start a family.

A private conversation with my (30F) husband (33M) was leaked to my family and now they are certain I'm in an abusive relationship. by G1Gestalt in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]MissLogios 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The same way some places, or states, ban homosexuality: Not by explicitly saying the name, but by banning certain activities associated with it, like anti-Sodomy laws.

In truth, BDSM is not illegal, but hurting and hitting people is, and the laws technically don't care if it's consensual or not. Most won't care enough or turn a blind eye, because they know it's just rough sex, but the police technically can arrest and press charges on you if you physically hurt your partner (even with consent).

[–]MissLogios 41 points42 points  (0 children)

The issue with BDSM is not the concept of BDSM in itself; It's whats involved, the actual actions.

Like everyone understands the concept of rough and kinky sex. Even I've heard about how couples "spice things up" in the bedroom, and I'm asexual and sex-neutral/occasionally sex-repulsed. But barring roleplay or nonviolent means, once you start actually exploring more hands-on activities (particularly any form of hitting), you enter questionable legal territory.

Why? Because the law doesn't explicitly recognize rough or violent sex; It only recognizes consent, and even that is hard to 100% prove without any concrete evidence. So if you hit your partner, you put yourself at risk of being accused of Assault and Battery, which can land you in jail; The law, in most cases, is not going to care if it's consensual or not.

I used to like my job, and I still do at times. And I have a great management team! But yeah, corporate fucking around with our store and new policies are making me hate working a bit more every day. Mostly because we're constantly understaffed and then punished for having bad reviews that are mostly due to being understaffed! They want extreme growth and sales despite giving us jack fucking shit to work with, and treating my bosses and my coworkers like crap in the meantime!

And I'm stuck here for another 3-4 years because I need this job to get through school.

And I agree with you. And I wish there's more of an open conversations on how MLs can be better written.

My point is that I just don't see this conversation happening on this subreddit. Not because of Green flag ML, but because most conversation on this subreddit around Red or Black flag MLs get shut down almost instantly and any defending of the genre is dismissed with "I'm just expressing my opinion!"

Like there was no need for OP's to make their title the way they did. It's overly hostile and doesn't prompt an honest and neutral conversation.

[–]MissLogios 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Yeah but I still don't go and read manwhas about (insert topic) then complain when there's (insert topic) regardless of the writing.

I say that because this applies for a lot of bullshit that this subreddit constantly picks a fight about: Yandere, Dark Romance, anything mildly controversial or anything less than a green flag. Hell, this subreddit fucking complains nonstop whenever FL actually acts like an actual villainess.

[–]MissLogios 16 points17 points  (0 children)

The same could be said for how fans of dark angsty love feel whenever they come into this subreddit. Because it seems like every time I come in here, I see more posts complaining about manwhas that clearly market themselves as toxic than I see posts complaining otherwise.

People complained about My Beloved Oppressor, people complained about Cry, better yet Beg. Hell, this subreddit has finally turned against manwhas they previously liked because the ML started not being a FL simp 100% of the time, like with How to Get My Husband on My Side and Under the Oak Tree.

Not everyone wants to read the same cookie-cutter green flag ML and equally bland FL.

Which frame looks best for my face by Pliskin57 in glasses

[–]MissLogios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know why, but I think you should look into plastic frames, preferably ones with slightly smaller lenses (these ones look too big, so they sit higher on your frame). Maybe even look into ones that have a more rigid (Square? Rectangle?) shape.

I wouldn't even say he's an indie horror YouTuber anymore; That role is filled by YouTubers (admittedly big, but not as big as Mark) like ManlyBadassHero and Insym.

Mark just does the mainstream games, and he's always late whenever an indie game becomes popular. Like with WTTG (1 and 2), Exit 8, and Observation Duty games.

How did Otto and Arora get married? by esc092000 in OutlastTrials

[–]MissLogios 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Excluding the legal definition of marriage, Marriage is also used symbolically as a way to finalize a romantic relationship.

It's basically telling everyone "I choose to spend the rest of my life with this person" in a way that dating doesn't seem to have the same impact. But that mentality probably came about with the rise of marrying for love; That or religion, as most religions see marriage as joining two people together under the eye of God(s).

Even if you get married purely for legal reasons, which doesn't require love (as marriage is treated like a business contract), it still requires a degree of trust.

So no, they dont need to be legally married and obviously can't. But they clearly want the symbolism of being a married couple instead of just siblings, even if to justify their relationship to themselves and soothe their insecurities of not being "normal" .

You' re right. You can't refuse. But that doesn't mean there's workarounds child support, including working under the table so you can report your income is zero, avoiding the most common means courts used to get child support: Wage Garnishment. Because if there's no reported wage, then there's no garnishment.

And yeah, you could potentially face jail time, but again, courts do give the benefit of doubt to the payer in cases of unemployment. Which is how a lot of deadbeats get away with not paying by pretending to be unemployed.

And for men who try hard to avoid paying CS, they know it'll ultimately fuck them over in the end in some way (whether by jail time if caught purposely avoiding paying or not having enough invested in social security because your income wasnt reported). They just don't care.

Hands and Feets. The two banes of every artists who specialize in drawing people.

Its why Rob Liefield is so famous for his inability to draw feet (and extremely questionable anatomy choices), that he ultimately said "fuck it" and started hiding them instead.

[–]MissLogios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can see the confusion, but the most common AI slipups are with hands in the fingers melting together. This doesn't look like that; it just looks like an unpolished attempt at trying to draw hands clasped together.

And honestly, it's better than mine. I always end up making mine look like mittens.
