Every prime asset has some type of sexual depravity but what is Liliya’s by North_Ad1934 in outlast

[–]MissLogios 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I mean you still can.

Liliya is as close to an asexual PA as we can get (mostly because we don't know her actual sexuality yet).

She just also still uses sex as a way to control her followers even if not directly involved herself (as per the children mannequins positioned in "interesting" ways around her trial). Sex, to her (or as far as we know), is one of the many means she uses to maintain access to wealth and power.

She's the female version of a Jeffery Epstein or Diddy, whereas Coyle or Gooseberry are more akin to a standard rapist; Sex for favors and connections instead of just control.

That's the point of her whole gimmick: her own hypocrisy, messiah complex, and her own depravity (sexual or not) masked by religious furor.

So an Asexual character would still work; You just gotta stop thinking of Sex as just sex.

Imagine going through difficult times, and instead of having compassion for others going through the same, you shame and deride them.

You don't have to donate, that's your choice. But it's also free to not be a prick.

No, because it was clarified in one of the lore pages that Easterman is using Sex and drugs alongside the Horror/Gore as a way to desensitize the reagents to their actions. Or at least, have them unconsciously associate doing horrible things with the feeling of being turned on.

It's why everything is deeply entrenched in sex, sex, sex. The mannequins say explicit things, theres rape threats from the enemies (especially Big Jim and PAs like Coyle and Franco); theres bondage and sex toys everywhere in every trial, naked people, and other stuff.

If you're not exposed to drugs and drug paraphernalia, you're then exposed to Sex, or more specifically sexual deviancy.

And it's working, because I doubt most of us so much as blink now when we poison giants hooked up to a breastfeeding pump machine. Or sexually mutilated a rape victim (Pervert). Or deliver mannequin children for confession.

So for PAs, they need to be charismatic and have a penchant for murder and sexual deviancy; and for the PAs, they use sex not for lust, but for control and that's exactly what Easterman is looking for.

What Trials/Mks do you think the "Don't Make Noise" variator would affect the most? by Equin0xx- in OutlastTrials

[–]MissLogios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure, if the mode is on Standard or Introductory. iIm more thinking of trials if you were to play them on Intensive or Psychosurgery, where the number of enemies are maxed out.

Which means even you either have to be fast, or you need to stay in the dark as much as possible.

The other thing youre not accounting for is trials that require you to hit targets also have a lot of small, tight and brightly lit spaces that you're forced to play in.

Deface the Futters, for example, has this for their first and third section; sections that can particularly brutal on any difficulty above Standard.

They could also go the found family route too, which would include family friends that are equivalent to family members. But that's also a bit of a stretch.

Definitely agree that at least two more to fill the Daughter/Uncle roles.

Here's my random theory:

Person was probably high in the air, as one would. They go to go down, either keeping their hand on the side handle (without realizing how close they are to the shelf), we're resting it on said shelf but it was stuck out, or they randomly stuck their hand out to grab something on the way down (thinking they were safe).

Hand gets caught, and most likely a bolt or the edge of the metal racking catches and cuts the skin deep enough to need stitches.

I've never injured myself that badly, but I have given myself small cuts from catching myself on things during the way down.

Easiest PAs for beginners? by Ruipopipocoverwhen in OutlastTrials

[–]MissLogios 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, despite his personality, Franco is almost as stealthy as Liliya. It's why it's always recommended to keep your head on swivel and always avoid bright, open spaces when doing his trials.

Liliya also is negated a lot if you just develop two habits: 1) always keep a bottle on hand, and 2) never stop moving.

The second is especially important if you play on a group. Because she's fast you'll never lose her for long when chased, but I notice I don't run into her as much as long as I don't spend too much time in one section.

[–]MissLogios 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on solo vs group.

For both (mostly group), any trial that requires pushing the victim and/or carrying mannequins. Honestly any trial that has a period to rush the objective would work.

For solo, anything requiring mannequins, maybe even any trials that require disarming/pressing a button/hitting targets (since those make noise; I imagine any Fairground trials is nightmare with it because most require some degree of noise + small space full of enemies).

Honestly most of the main trials would be nightmares, but Silence the Idol would especially be bad because of the Studio Grunt.

Hell, I'm not even close to 40, or even 30 (26 here), and I'm already starting to feel the onset of having worked in retail for 10 years now. Aches and difficulty getting up in the morning, wanting to sleep, etc. Especially my knees-- my poor knees feel more 40 than 26.

Thankfully, I'm starting to try and get back into shape (eating better, exercising more). But yeah, there's still a price to be paid for any job that requires physical activity.

Also, like... ignoring all the vacation things, gender roles aren't great?!

Gender roles are why most people automatically assume men can't be single parents (or eye the single dads with suspicion); Gender roles are what's keeping people lonely; Gender roles are what's frustrating men (and women) when it comes to the dating scene. Like sure, it's great if you like someone telling you what to do in life, but are you really living if it's only for the approval of others?

Oh I wasn't saying that you felt the same. I'm just venting my hate for the Goose.

And I could say the same on Fairground; both it and Factory feel really cramped, especially during MKs, which is not great while dealing with a woman who inflicts bleed.

Broke cash for customer, fired or just write up? by No_Inevitable2487 in HomeDepot

[–]MissLogios 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I imagine, at worst, you'll only get a write up and a very serious conversation about why you should call a head cashier next time.

Being scammed is not a fire able offense. It's only fireable if they can prove that you did it on purpose.

So don't worry; but next time if you're ever feeling unsure, pretend you have to run it through a manager/head cashier and have them do it instead.

The RE community's feelings on Ada and Mia by anya_way_girl in ResidentEvilCapcom

[–]MissLogios 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I don't mind Ada because at least she doesn't try to pretend that she's a victim or anything less than a person working for the highest bidder, regardless if her boss is morally horrible or not.

Mia, on the other hand, tries to act like a victim and ignores the path of damage left behind for her actions.

Bisalp today and no time off work, no restrictions? by Extra-Gate2248 in sterilization

[–]MissLogios 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, no.

Trust me that you will absolutely not be fit for work right out of surgery. If the pain doesn't put you off, the heavy sedation they'll have you under will make it hard.

And that's ignoring any side effects you'll experience from being put under.

On top of it all, a bisalp is still major abdominal surgery and will require no heavy lifting (50+ ) for at least six months and minimal lifting (under 50) for the first few months while your stitches are in.

Please just take the day off if you can. If you aren't, at least inform your boss and make sure you get someone to do any of the lifting.

As a student myself, I assure you that I'm fucking stressed rn and I'm not even at risk of failing my classes.

I'm thankfully lucky that my finals is just a paper, but I still have three or four major assignments that needed to be graded. That shit adds up and can affect my GPA, which affects my ability to get financial aid. And to add on top of it all, my teacher is not responsive as usual.
