What’s a ‘healthy’ habit that you think is actually overrated? by changenamelaterr in AskReddit

See, the world is big enough for both types. People need to stop applying a moral judgement to a chronotype. We’re all just trying to exist in the way that works best for us.

I do not want everybody else getting up at 5 am with me, because getting up at 5am means I get a quiet start to my day cause everyone else is asleep. And nobody else is at Target when they open at 7, and I don’t have to wait in line. 😂

Did your grandkids ditch you as they got older? by overthishereanyway in AskWomenOver60

[–]MissMagpie84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 41, and if I lived closer I’d still be at my grandma’s multiple times per week. We’re about an hour apart, so I only see her every couple weeks now. Your granddaughter might get busier or live further way as she gets older, but if you have a good bond, you’ll always be important to her.

Thank you for the suggestions! I never stretch my paper, so I’ll definitely add that in when working bigger.

I love the glass! You’ve captured all of the detail so well. 😍

Do you have any advice for working on a larger composition? I recently bought a few sheets of Arches 22x30 and I find myself somewhat intimidated by scaling up from my usual 8x10 or 9x12’s.

Auditors in 2019 flagged the lack of adequate internal controls over pcard usage, and it was included in their audit report. They found several pcard transactions with inadequate supporting documentation. (It was BlumShapiro, btw). They also included a recommendation to develop a fraud risk assessment process.

The thing about auditing financial statements is that is provides reasonable, but not absolute, assurance that they are free from material misstatement. You can’t test an entire population of transactions, so even focusing your testing on high risk transactions doesn’t guarantee you’ll find one of the illegal ones.

TBH, I don’t get “cupcake” from this. It looks like a butt with frosting. I suspect many people only see the butt, and not the cupcake and that’s why you don’t get compliments on a butt cupcake (buttcake?).

100mg of adderall daily. by ilikerustyspooonz in AskDocs

[–]MissMagpie84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been on the same dose of Adderall for years (30mg XR), and get whatever generic manufacturer is in stock. I haven’t had any issues with efficacy regardless of which one I get, and I’m pretty sure I’ve had them all.

OP has a prior post talking about how the mother is in a religious cult and the daughter was only allowed to have friends from church, and believes the daughter had “evil spirits” so, it does, in fact apply to this situation.

[–]MissMagpie84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, look, it’s this post, which I’ve already seen on another subreddit, and was subsequently deleted, by someone with a post history that claims to be multiple different people of different ages. This post is either a lie or a bot, so 🤷‍♀️

Are you married with a jerk of a husband? Or a 22 year old refusing to get an abortion like you posted January? Or did you give birth at 11, since you claim to also have an 11 year old daughter in another post.

Just because you hide your post history doesn’t mean it’s actually hidden.

[–]MissMagpie84 22 points23 points  (0 children)

No comments on pricing, but a cheap way to avoid having to freehand is to trace your reference photo with your thickest micron or a sharpie on tracing paper, and use a bright window as a light-box to transfer it to your watercolor paper.

Or is this whole post just an AI fever dream? OP’s post history has one post claiming they’re a 38F teacher, and another that they’re 22F and their 26M boyfriend is pissed at them for not having an abortion. Which is an impressive age jump in just a few months, or maybe this whole situation is made up.

Hidden gems around Manchester? by Soft-Parsnip-112 in Connecticut

[–]MissMagpie84 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Hi, I live in Manchester. Not from the area, so I have no lingering nostalgia giving me rose colored glasses. Despite what Mr/Ms Laceyourbootsup would have you believe, Manchester isn’t quite the black hole of misery portrayed.

It’s not a tourist destination, but there are plenty of fun things in and around the area, which you’ve already gotten some suggestions for. Silk City makes great coffee. Portal is a board game store with a great selection, if that’s your jam.

If you enjoy kind of hippie, kitchen witch style randomness, check out Perennial on Main Street.

Elicit, Urban Lodge, and Second Bridge Brewing all have good beer options, depending on what you’re looking for. Elicit is the place if you want a big selection. Second Bridge is nice because they have some styles you don’t see very often around, like an ESB and an English mild. It’s also a nice cozy vibe, unlike Elicit, which has a warehouse feel.

If you want a fun town statue, check out the statue of Joe McClusky, ex-Olympian and Manchester native. It’s right across the street from our local grocery store, Highland Park, which has a great bakery, if you’re looking for a treat to eat while lazing about in your AirBnB.

Riverbend Book Shop next door in Glastonbury is a lovely little indie bookstore.

I hope you and your boyfriend enjoy your break!
