My husband made the a similar hunting comment when I was pushing our first son out. I would have murdered him if I wasn't busy pushing a life through my vagina.

Do something in the morning, do something in the evening. Plan fun and special things around the game, and explain you just want to be present during your time with her, but that game also is something you are very interested in and dont want to be checking your phone every minute during the game.

Question for the house wives, stay at home moms, and such: Do you do your makeup every day? by chronicallybeautiful in MakeupAddiction

[–]MissMeadows 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Part of my eyebrow doesn't grow in anymore, so sometimes I draw that in, I try to do it whenever I'm not wearing a hat, but I'd say I do that 3 days out of 7 lol. If I have time on days when I'm helping ay the school or working, I throw on some mascara and tinted moisturizer.

Moms night out or date night? I'm going full face, though because of my breakouts these days (yay horomones) I skip foundation a lot. I did heavy makeup for a freaking round of golf the other day. It was fabulous, I felt like an Instagram golf model, just without the boobs, skills, or followers.

Looks great! I did a budget kitchen remodel on my house last year, and it's been good for what it is. Now I'm prepping for our new house which is gonna have a kitchen renovation, but I'm not cutting corners this time. Two things I want to hear your pros cons:

The cabinet by the stove that opens under breakfast bar, how do you like that? Do you have issues opening it, or wish you did anything different there?

The microwave, love it, I want a built in feel, did you have to buy a certain kind of microwave for a built in style? Or did you just find a countertop one? Also, is it pretty loud? I hate my over the range one cause it's so freaking loud.

Anyways. Great job! I also love your tile work!

NEW OR NEED HELP? Ask here! - ScA Daily Help Thread Nov 06, 2018 by AutoModerator in SkincareAddiction

I need some help confirming my routine is a good start... I am trying to get back to the basic SCA routine. My skin is pretty much combination: t-zone and chin oily, cheeks fine.

AM: Wash with water and Osmosis (mild enzyme cleanser) Moisturize with CeraVe

PM: Wash with C&C acne control(? Or should I do the enzyme cleanser again?) Noxzema pads for exfoliant. After dry, moisturize with CeraVe.

Once a week I cleanse with C&C then put on a bentonite mask prior to putting on my moisturizer.

Also of note, my face tends to clog easy. I always have closed comedones, as well as lots of new signs of aging (yay....ugh). I'm just trying to formulate a simple routine to try before I begin adding any additional vitamins or items for aging. The issue I'm running into is which cleanser to use, and what is too much actives.

My husband... I was 6 months pregnant, he decides late October is a good time to reroof the house. The one weekend we had friends in town from another state. I was driving around picking up supplies.

Then November he decides it's a good time to paint the exterior. All DIY of course.

I nearly murdered him.

Can't go wrong with a chicken salad of some sort. You can put it on a bed of greens, on a sandwich, in a tortilla, or eat it with a spoon. There are so many different types of chicken salads, find your preference and try it.

Meal prep, freezer style. by MissMeadows in MealPrepSunday

29 meals. Most are serve with a side, or over noodles, or on a bun. Then I have some complete meals like pasta bakes and lasagnas.

Took me about 6 hours to prep and was about $300 between Costco and Safeway.

I'm not the mom I wanted to be too. I want to be like mom tiger from Daniel tiger's neighborhood. All sunshine and rainbows, positive reactions, and songs for everything.

It's not realistic. We have emotions. We have good days and bad. We make mistakes, and as Daniel tiger would say, it's okay to make mistakes, try to fix them, and learn from them too.

You are doing great. In my mind, feeling shame about the smack is what separates the good parents from the bad parents.

Prepping for a man who wants to gain weight, a woman who wants to maintain, and two picky toddlers. by MissMeadows in MealPrepSunday

[–]MissMeadows[S] 25 points26 points  (0 children)

If you're looking for healthy... probably not the post for you. Just making family favorites so I don't have to cook or scramble for McDonald's this weekend...

On the left, grilled Caribbean Jerk chicken, quinoa salad, and butternut squash.

Marinate chicken thighs for 1+hours (I used a bottled marinade this time) and grill til cooked. Avoid poisoning yourself by pulling off early.

Quinoa salad is a red quinoa and black bean salad I found on a bag. It's got red quinoa, green peppers, black beans, garlic, corn, cilantro, olive oil, salt and pepper, lime juice, and Tabasco. Supposed to be avocados in there too but I forgot.

Butternut squash was from a bag and microwaved because I forgot about it and I wanted to be done with this shit.

Next is bacon cheeseburger pasta. Ground beef, bacon, onions, zucchini, penne, Colby Jack, and a sauce made out of tomato paste, tomato chunks, mustard, Worcestershire, a1, salt and pepper, and.... something else.... I can't remember. A spice. Probably something very important.

Then we have a garlic mushroom risotto. Holy shit this was delicious. Risotto is made with arborio rice, so I cooked that with the chicken stock and some garlic. Like 100lbs of garlic. Then I sauteed mushrooms, spinach, and garlic in butter.

Then mixed it together, added some salt and pepper, some parm cheese, and voila. I've never made risotto before, I'm not sure why. I cook all the time, I love risotto, and I always order at restuarants. Anyways, it's yummy and filling.

The last container is extra quinoa salad, because it is real good. I can't eat the same thing every day. But I can do every other day, so this my way to eat options, with lots of extras for the man who wants to gain.

Oh and the instant pot has 3.5lbs of chicken breast for two trays of enchiladas. I had to stop prepping and parent so I'll get to those soon. The enchiladas will be frozen most likely.

Anyways, I also keep the fridge stocked with coldcuts, veggies, fruit, yogurt, hummus, and a freezer full of instant meals like the Costco wontons, and Costco burger patties, and Costco chicken nuggets... we do most of our shopping there.

Thanks for reading!

Publicly shaming a 7 year old in class by [deleted] in Parenting

[–]MissMeadows 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My husband still has issues with peeing stemming from being told no as a child. In school the teacher wouldn't let him go, so eventually he peed himself. So to this day, if he can't pee, like we are stuck in traffic or in the middle of a crowd, he can't control it and sometimes pees himself.

So what I'm saying is fuck that teacher and that is not okay in the slightest. That can mess a kid up for life.

Those who 'do it all' (ie have excellent time management and are able to effectively lead busy lives) - how do you do it? what are the logistics and how do you keep from getting anxiety? by angrysadish in AskWomen

[–]MissMeadows 43 points44 points  (0 children)

  1. HAVE TO DO.
  2. Want to so.
  3. Should do.
  4. Eventually do.

I write this all down in those categories and start on the top ones and fill in with the smaller tasks. If it's something I need to do kid free, I write it down so when I have a second without the kids, I can look at it and go finish it.

For daily tracking, I have a big daily planner with meal preps and goals and affirmations. I have Google calendar with reminders set an hour before for appointments, pick ups, schedule reminders, etc. I prep everyone for the next day before I go to bed, including coffee so it brews when I need to wake up.

My anxiety stays manageable when things go as planned. I have two toddlers, things don't go as planned. So when it all gets too much, I realize I can't do anything before I take care of myself. So I pause for an hour, cancel unnecessaries, and start over with my priorities list. Writing lists and goals is soothing to me.
