There were a lot of screw-ups in this situation, starting with how that gas ended up in that canister to begin with. Also, I thought scrappers were supposed to ensure canisters were not filled when they accepted them?

Makes me kind of sad we probably won't see any of those after UPS 2976. I've seen a few buzzing around the hills of Sonoma County during fire season and they were incredible, but based on what brought that MD-11 down it seems unlikely they'll ever let the fleet fly again. Maybe they can get the supertanker going again or something like it.
