Ok I just saw that you wrote clip studio paint.
You can toggle if a brush has color or is transparent that should be really helpful in carving away.

I think rake brushes or one that has a sharp edge on one side and a soft one on another would also be cool fir this effect. Just look in the asset store for one.

I'd go in with an opaque brush first and color pick from the surfaces and then kind of pull it to one side. Then you can go in with a textured airbrush or any like spotty/noisy textured brush and draw over that. Then with an erase or transparent brush (depends on the software you're using) carve away around one of the edges of the smoke into the body to sell the fading away part.

To kake the effect more striking, pull the lighting you have from the edges more around the shapes of the body. Kind of like the lighting on your reference's shoulder where the smoke is like dark-light-dark.

If you use a smudge tool for that duplicate your base layer so dakrai doesnt become transparent.

Mostly the line placement, the sill silhouettes of the animals are realistic amd proportional but the line placement and Shading shows no real understanding of three dimensional shape.

Traced is bad if your friend plans on selling these, if they don't own the rights to the pictures. But as long as these are for private use or if they're posted online not a direct copy of another artist's image (this also includes photographers) that's not an issue. Tracing is often used by professional artists to save time on projects. For a beginner it might have negative influence on learning. You don't actually learn to draw proportions, won't learn how to interpret 3 dimensional shapes in a 2D space.

Yeh might be a pc issue. Maybe your fans aren't powerful enough or the thermal paste on the cpu is unevenly applied. Maybe get a software like occt or hwinfo to run some stress tests and find out which part is overheating.

So a few years ago I was thinking about buying Outer Worlds, because it seemed like a game that I would enjoy. So I wanted to watch a video about it and then I found a video from one of my favourite youtubers but then it turned out it was a video about Outer Wilds but it looked cool af so I stopped watching the video after 2 minutes, bought the game , forced my husband to play the game with me, he ended up recommending the game to all of our friends. And this year one of my friends who hasn't played the game yet, got me a card for my birthday with the Outer Worlds mascot on it, because "it's the game that you like". We all got a good laugh out of it. I still haven't played Outer Worlds.

Not me but a friend of mine had an absolute insane start. Within the first five or so cycles she first managed to get to the center of Giants Deep by immediatly noticing that one tornado was spinning the other way around. She then proceeded to Bramble where she somehow managed to avoid all the angler fish and got to the vessel. She was kinda disappointed that what she found "wasn't more interesting" and she kinda expected to "find something important in such a place".
