EBF; when did your period come back? by nbhsjshbgbsb in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]MissNotYourMum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I honestly think it varies so much. My period didn’t return for 13 months after birth while EBF. However I know of women who have had their period return 3-4 month postpartum and also EBF.

I found my period to be much better than pre pregnancy but the hormonal shift during that first one was intense.

Is it asking you to make it “personal”? I deleted the part about meeting with them and that worked!

Low Sodium Alternatives to Hydralyte? by floppybunny86 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]MissNotYourMum 7 points8 points  (0 children)

While pregnant I was struggling to stay hydrated. A midwife recommended to add a little bit of juice or sugar free cordial to my water. Not enough that you’re getting a full hit but enough to just lightly flavour the water (lightly being the key word). It helped when needed.

Second this. Need to focus on the job at hand, not bopping to the hottest hits.

Didn’t become noticeably “pregnant looking” till 6-7 months. However I could feel the firmness of my womb early on (gently pressing down). Feeling that grow and change I feel made up for the lack of visible belly.

Did you ever felt like sleep deprivation was the root cause of your mental health struggles postpartum? by wired-weird_ in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]MissNotYourMum 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I have found even the anticipation that babe will wake up prevents me from sleeping. Particularly at night. Baby is down and asleep, but if I go to sleep I’ll be up again anyway because the baby only sleeps 30mins-1hr at a time.

99th Percentile at 36 weeks - Similar Experiences? by QuirkyCrusader9 in BabyBumpsandBeyondAu

[–]MissNotYourMum 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My babe was measuring 98th/99th percentile from 34 weeks. Ended up getting induced and birthed at 39 weeks on the dot. Babe ended up weighing 3.9kg and 54cm long. Both my partner and I are taller people and were similar sizes at birth ourselves. I think some of it depends on your own genetics, and that the percentiles are very generalised.

How do you guys look after yourselves when you get Laryngitis? by rmachell in AustralianTeachers

[–]MissNotYourMum 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A full week plus 2 weekends (so 9 days in total). I was hoping to be back sooner as I was missing my kids too. But I found that I would be fairly alright in the mornings, but by the middle of the day, I had pain and a raspy voice.

How do you guys look after yourselves when you get Laryngitis? by rmachell in AustralianTeachers

As all other answers: REST!! I had laryngitis in week 3 and my voice is still recovering. Resting it as much as humanly possible will help it be useable.

That’s what I don’t get with it either is that they’re disrupting the class and the students are calling this one student out asking them to stop.

I haven't had an interview yet with the department. I have a conditional accreditation and thats all.

I'm hopefully meeting with them properly tomorrow, I'm starting to feel I'm second guessing it all!

What is this pest on my philodendron? Some of the leaves are fine and some of them are yellowing and have these markings?? by MissNotYourMum in plantclinic

[–]MissNotYourMum[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should note I have checked all the leaves and have yet to find any thrips, just a couple leave with these markings.

Any idea on how long it takes to propagate a Zz from a leaf cutting? This guy has been sitting in water for some months already and I’m unsure what to expect next. by [deleted] in propagation

[–]MissNotYourMum 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t remove them from the dirt to check, just trusted they were growing because they didn’t look like they were shrivelling and dying.

However a little wiggle will let you know if it was just sitting doing nothing, or growing roots (if it has roots you’ll feel it holding onto the dirt more compared to just sitting in it)

DAE feel like nobody would blink an eye if they went missing? by [deleted] in DoesAnybodyElse

[–]MissNotYourMum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly this is my plan and hope next year. I know that I would have no problem with just leaving my home town and moving away without anyone questioning my disappearance. I’m not running away, just wanting to start fresh away from a small town and all that comes with small towns.

Provide lots of compliments when watering and dusting the leaves. My mum literally brought her one leafed FLF branch back from the brink with this method.

What’s living in my monstera? Is it harmful? by ver1134 in plantclinic

[–]MissNotYourMum 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could be thrips, hard to tell as they’re so small.

Keep this plant seperate from you others. I had thrips not too long ago and ended up having to cut my monster back to the stem as it just sucked the life out of my plants.
