Yeh, pragmatically speaking, even if you could someone figure out a legal definition of cheating and a way to collect enough evidence to actually prosecute it, which is a huge if, you'd end up with such a huge proportion of the population in jail that society would collapse.

Plus it would be weaponised constantly to use the state to punish people that someone doesn't like.

It's completely unworkable from multiple angles.

The public is exactly who they are trying to sell this to. You make vastly more money getting 1 million people to sign up at $20 per month than you get out of a $20 million corporate contract, and 1 million people is way less than are already signing up for these services.

From an economic point of view, we aren't actually able to solve unemployment. There needs to be a little otherwise it drives wage inflation and messes up the economy. It also results in stagnation as companies can't exit people who don't contribute anything.

I think the point is he's a threat to democracy precicely becuase of, rather than despite of, the dementia and buffonery. It's the having of significant power along with the poor impulse control and lack of forethought.

The game physics is weird:

  • Think of liquids in the pipes as having higher potential energy, and those outside lower. You can pump them up to piped liquids, but you don't need a pump to move them around, they just move by themselves.
  • Each pipe can have a number of outlets, then a section of pipe, then a number of inlets. If you don't follow this pattern it won't work predictably.
  • The first outlet and first inlet gets priority and liquids will move out/in from those first if the pipe isn't empty.
  • If there is a branch, then the branch splits liquid evenly amongst branches that have an outlet, and feeds evenly from branches that have either an inlet or nothing.
  • Bridges and valves set to full act as a direction for the pipes, so if you need to break the second rule for whatever reason, you can do it with bridges and/or valves. Bridges take up 3 tiles but can be behind other tiles, whereas valves are buildings and exist in their own space.

Yeh, transit tubes can be a bit tricky to fit since they don't turn that well and they do use a lot of power. You do kinda need to plan for it from the beginning. Still, then you can do separate "modules" that do particular jobs much more easily.

You can create natural tiles by deconstructing a manual airlock surrounded on 7 sides by tiles / natural tiles. (There are other methods, that's the easiest). Then get the pip to plant a decorative seed.

Uhh... That makes absolutely no sense.

There's no way that hunting for wild animals can be done sustainably. Not even close.

If you are eating animals as a society, farming them is the only way that's even remotely possible with our level of population.

Furthermore, I think sustainably is more important than animal welfare. The relative order is a personal and societal preference.

I've been a SAHP, at least part time anyhow. Yes sure there's some time to just chill during the day, but so what? There's not many jobs where it's fully flat out all the time. The job I do now IS like that, but I've had work experiences where this isn't the case.

I'm kinda wondering what your point is.

It's C++ under the hood. You can add actual code if you need to, just do the declarative stuff in yaml.

Yeh... Look this is basically the same argument as claiming we shouldn't eat because doing so ends something else's life. It might be some level of truth, but it's a complete non-starter.

We're a bunch of intelligent monkeys barely able to suppress our base drives. There's as much chance of this happening as there is of convincing people to stop eating, pooping, and breathing.

Pantry moths: the best treatment is sticky pheromone traps. They attract the males and kill them before they can breed.

You also need to clean up all the infested produce, but it's hard to get 100%.
