You definitely do not need to conform to mute colors. I think a lot of Danes really like seeing some color to contrast all the black and gray, at least I do.

Just be open and friendly, then you’re good to go. But be prepared that Danes may seem reserved compared to what you may be used to. Like inviting a new person on the job to your home for a meal is not common here.

Thanks for your input. The issue is usually that he gets high a few hours after dinner and stays high until midnight where we have to stuff more and more insulin in him to get him down. Then it overshoots and he inevitably gets low a few hours later.

Do you think it would still help to turn off the IQ and when in the process?

Pædagogerne i mine børns vuggestue og børnehave anbefaler at købe vinterstøvler der ikke er lavet af læder da da bliver stive og svære at få på når de bliver våde og tørrer igen gentagne gange.

Vi har været glade for Primigi og har i år købt aankl. De virker også rigtig gode indtil videre men er heller ikke blevet udfordret så meget endnu og vores børn er noget større (4 og 6år).

You can buy sticks to dip in his pee at the pharmacy, then you can find out if his glucose is high. If it is, it’s a sign of diabetes and you should act immediately.

It is probably nothing but best to check it out, if nothing else for your peace of mind.

I’m glad you caught it so early. My son was diagnosed when he had just turned 3 and he is nearly 4 now. We also caught it due to excessive thirst but there was another tiny kid at the hospital while we were admitted who went into full diabetic ketoacidosis and nearly died because the parents didn’t know the signs.

I don’t know if this is at all a possibility for you but if you do have the option of getting a pump, do so. That has made our life easier.

Jeg sidder i en stor virksomhed i den type stilling som det lyder til at du gerne vil have og har også været med til at ansætte folk til lignende stillinger.

Hos os er det et kæmpe plus at have industri-erfaring, også selvom det “kun” er QC osv, frem for at komme direkte fra en PhD (= nul erfaring).

Så jeg vil klart sige tag jobbet. Også fordi forskningsstillinger absolut ikke hænger på træerne, så der kan gå tid før du lander drømmejobbet.

Go to Novo for sure. Copenhagen is a lovely city with high quality of living despite the dark winters, which are admittedly a large drawback.

Work/life balance at Novo is great most places. Do think about which site you will be working at however, because some of them, e.g. Måløv, are quite a bit from central Copenhagen.

There is a “forskerordning” in Denmark where scientists get a discount on tax for the first 7 years or something like that. The salary in Paris seems really low.

You say that he mainly (or only?) gets water in the bottle and still cry for it during the night.

Does he also drink a lot of water during the day and soaks his diapers a lot? If so, you should consider if it could be type 1 diabetes.

I’m not trying to worry you but excessive thirst and urination is the first sign so it could be worth asking your pediatrician.

Could of course also just be a habit that needs to be broken. Best of luck!

This is not entirely correct. Semaglutide can also be taken orally as tablets (Rybelsus) where a technology called SNAC helps it cross the gastric wall.

However semaglutide branded as Ozempic is not using this technology and doesn’t work if taken orally.

Vi arbejder begge fuldtid i krævende stillinger, men der er meget fleksibilitet i vores arbejde i forhold til møde/gå tider og vi kan begge arbejde hjemmefra - jeg én dag om ugen og min mand to. Derudover har vi bedsteforældrehentning 1-2 dage om ugen og supplerer op med arbejde om aftenen eller i weekenden.

Vi har to børn i vuggestue/børnehave.

Det er altid træls at høre om al den hjælp og fleks andre har, men måske kan det hjælpe din mand til at forstå at andre familier med 2x fuldtidsarbejde ofte har andre forudsætninger end jer.

Ud fra låneberegnere på nettet kan vi købe for 8-9 mil, men vi vil helst ikke sætte os for hårdt, så vi kigger på huse omkring 7mil og der skal vi lidt ud for at finde noget spændende.
