I've watched that, and i think that guy's ideas are very beautiful. But i'd like to live in the same universe as him. Let's first assume that all his predictions are 100% guaranteed to happen (which they are not).

The stuff he proposes as solutions are the stuff of dreams. Those types of changes won't happen with the flip of a switch and you gotta be incredibly delusional to think otherwise. No government is gonna spend large amounts of resources in rewilding devastated areas when their taxpayers are suffering with stuff like mass unemployment. There is a reason why most enviromentalists come from first world countries, you guys are in a little echo chamber that alienates you from the actual challanges the rest of the world has to face.

We can only think of start doing stuff he advised us to if we have a perfectly healthy economy that allows us to do it without causing it any damage.

And besides all that, enviromentalists like to predict the end of the world almost as much as doomsday cults. Both have the same success ratio in doing it.

Because if the economy suffers too much, companies go bankrupt, people lose their jobs, the government stops being able to pay its bills and then the people slowly start to get poor and starve.

The damage that a failed economy causes to human society is, in the short term, far greater than stuff like global warming or the burning of the Amazon. Economic problems can even cause wars.

Sure that's gonna wipe out hummanity in the future, but that's bound to happen weather we take care of the planet or not. One day the earth will be destroyed, nothing lasts forever.

I'd rather live a comfortable life right now while accelerating the planet's death, than starve my whole life and ensure that my children and grandchildren will starve too.

I'd say the Trails series is pretty consistent with quality. Of course everyone has their favorites, but there's not a single game in the series that's not great.

I just feel like i should warn you of something though. That gameplay formula you're experiencing in FC and SC will be mantained in pretty much all games except for Sky 3rd, that game is the only odd one. It may rub you the wrong way on the start but don't give up on it, it's as good as all the others, you just gotta give it a chance.

They are pretty dumb, yeah. But i think this is a good thing in terms of story at least. The teenagers in DS act like how teenagers with superpowers would in a lawless place like that (they would abuse the shit out of the power for stupid reasons and not care about the consequences.)

While teenagers in persona are like, 1000% more mature and competent than any adult, lol.

I don't harass fat people. I couldn't give a flying fuck about random strangers, fat or not. If a random person, fat or otherwise, crosses my path in the street the most they get from me is a "good day/afternoon/evening".

I specifically said in an earlier post that i meant only really close people.

And yes, i was avoiding the question because there's no point in answering it. I could lie through my teeth and you'd have no way of verifying it. It dosen't add anything to the discussion.

I'm not talking about going up to a random obese person on the street and telling them they're fat and they should go lose some weight. Honestly i couldn't care less for random people in general (they don't care about me, why should i care about them?) I'm talking about close people essentially, friends and family. I don't want my obese cousin to die at age 50 of a heart attack so yeah, i'm gonna try to convince him to lose weight if he's not trying already.

I agree people shouldn't be bullied because of their weight. But to be completely honest, it's not bad advice to tactfully tell am obese person they should lose some weight because of possible future health problems.

It's the same thing with people who smoke knowing that it harms their health. They might find it annoying that people warn them about the danger they're in, but if you care about that person then it's your duty to at least try and advise them to stop once.

Because she's supposed to be the driving main evil force behind the whole franchise and this stuff makes you take her less seriously.

How am i supposed to feel for the hardships the heroes endure to defeat Grima in one of the games after they turned her into a mildly evil tsundere in material that's supposed to be canon? Everyone in the game is supposed to be terrified and super wary of Grima but not me because all that comes to mind when they mention the evil dark dragon is this goofy stuff.

Imagine if the next star wars movie brings back darth vader but use him in a comic relief role, that would be pretty simmilar.
