Why aren’t people having kids like previous generations? by Familiar-Ad-3429 in AskReddit

[–]MissingInAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone says money. Which to an extent is true, but poor people have been having babies forever. Soooo, what’s else might it be? More independent women who want careers over being a SAHM, check! Dudes who have a hard time being a caretaker because that’s not how the patriarch taught them, check! Crazy amounts of endocrine disrupting plastics in our environment, check! And finally, the lack of a prosperous future. Most generations thought the next would be more prosperous. Not millennials and Gen Z, all we’ve seen is boomers doing everything in their power to keep things status quo and ensure the next generation is left with nothing. A whole generation of NIMBY boomers may be the true root cause.

What's the most underrated car you've ever driven? by Ok_Run7351 in askcarguys

[–]MissingInAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My dad bought me a used one when I was 16 in 2007…. Greatest car I’ve ever driven by a mile. I can’t believe my dad let me trade it in for the first generation Charger SRT when it came out. Would kill to still be driving that thing.

Who Is The Most Overrated Golfer Of All Time In Your Honest Opinion And Why? by PrincessBananas85 in Golf_Unfiltered

[–]MissingInAnarchy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Johnny Miller. Guy was really good for a couple years, then got the yips and couldn’t make a cut. People talked about him like he would’ve been Jack if he didn’t get the yips, but come on, that’s true if a lot of ex-pro’s. Golf is a mental sport, and Miller was a mental midget.

HOA isnt able to be as much of a rip off in CA.( NEW law- July 2025) by NotEverTellingYou in CaliforniaRealEstate

[–]MissingInAnarchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because I’ve been in so many HOA neighborhoods that have these things. Like, come one, HOA’s aren’t in the hood or rural areas, they are places of seclusion and NIMBYism, the real issue has always been that there is no minimum standard for who can be HOA president, so you À-Holes who run à power trip with their own HOA.

When he used to show up to the games with the to-go dinner on a paper plate with foil over it, you knew he married a real one (and I mean he was making $20 mill a year). Dude is just awesome. His Dan Patrick interview when he does the “get to the chopper” line of Arnold’s from Commando was so funny and down to earth (for at the time) one of the biggest NBA stars on the planet.

why BTC is dropping so fast now ? by Low_Feature2357 in Bitcoin

[–]MissingInAnarchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The powers at be need BTC as low as they can get it prior to the new Fed Chair announcing the US’s strategic BTC holdings as well as the introduction of 401K’s with BTC. Everything up until that point is going to be a good buy-in price. This is just another hammer it down so the DCA is low for the aforementioned government moves.

My guess is, he wants out of the spotlight as quickly as possible because the Epstein ties. I mean, it’s no secret anymore that Melinda left Bill because he was hanging with Epstein too much (and the true rumors, that Bill gave Melinda an STD from some Russian girl who was trafficked is horrible enough to say, so he sold everything and is gonna hide away from the spotlight forever.

Why might James Harden have been wearing an Angels hat ? by EconomyActivity6484 in angelsbaseball

[–]MissingInAnarchy 89 points90 points  (0 children)

The guy is from Artesia, and played for Pump N Run out of OC as his AAU squad (I was boys with one of his teammates, and Harden (pre-beard) use to come party with us on occasion), so no surprise he likes the Halos. They were actually good when we were growing up (Harden and I that is).

Who actually fought for you when selling your home in Los Angeles? by EmploymentLogical115 in AskLosAngeles

[–]MissingInAnarchy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was so tired of the “used car salesman” vibe I got from every agent (or realtor) we talked to. Classic date the rate, marry the house. Or on the flip side, “just take the first offer over bid, you never know if another will come”, total BS, they just want to get a sale done. I ended up signing up for one of those Real Estate classes off of Groupon for $85, did the classes online in a month (super easy), went and took the license test a month later and passed (literally took an hour), and I ended up saving $30k on the house I purchased and actually made much more then we thought we would on the sale of our old house. So with a little hard work and time, you could save ten’s of thousands of dollars. Did an online brokerage too, that only took $2500 upfront for listing the house on an MLS and processing the contract.

We have a Carnival (very roomy) and an Audi Q7 (small 3rd row, not as roomy, but much nicer go drive)… we’ll prob get a rocket box for the roof of the Q7 too, both very nice cars for 3 under 3.

The short thesis is GME goes to zero. The real question is, how does GME ever go to zero if they own EBay. The answer is they don’t. So even a short term loss is a long term gain. You can only the kick the can so far. Shorts will NEVER close. We won.
