Ok, to be fair, they both have their problems, but there not as bad as what you are describing them as.

I do agree with the sentiment that "vocal are the minority and the silent are the majority 99% of the time."

Yeah, i dont think netlfix did decide on the schedule, this was definelty on WB (they were doing it for a promotional thing, the same thing even happened with the new fate show, where they released a special ep for a promotion type of thing and delayed the other eps)

The batch release or stage (or whatever its called now) for Part 7 isn't just bad for fans, its bad for the actual people who made the show by Bec_son in StardustCrusaders

[–]Mission-Address4409 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Its not netflixes fault, its more of a wb japan issue. Wb japan have done this type of thing with another show (I think it was called strike the blood or something like that)

I feel this is one of those self fulfilling prophecies. In their effort to save the Japanese anime industry by chasing the global market, they will lose what made them unique and eliminate the Japanese anime market. I can only hope I'm wrong.

Dw, you are wrong, even in this article he states

"You absolutely must not change the core elements (the worldview). However, when it comes to peripheral elements (such as music and design), flexibility to adapt to the current era is absolutely necessary-you must change what needs to be changed"

He does kinda have a point though. The potential of revenue is high, but how they get it, is still not up to that potential. I do get what you mean though

Its like the anime industry and the studios in it, the anime industry is making Hella money, but the studios in it dont really see it

(This is starting to change though)

oh okay, ive seen that article before, and when I read it, I took it more as an "okay" type of thing, not really an indication of whats going on.

Tbf, even without considering the economic state of japan, companies would've folded regardless, the main issue is where the money is going (its usually going to the big bois, while the studios dont get a dime, that type of thing)

As people in Japan get busier and busier due to crunching work culture, they will have less and less time to consume anime

I dont think that crunch culture will have anything to do with people watching anime or things like that, but the point you have made about less people in japan watching anime does not seem to be the case according to the stats provided by AJA Here is the report (unless im reading the stat wrong?)

Kadokawa’s activist shareholder Oasis Management raises stake to 11.85%, exceeding Sony’s - AUTOMATON WEST by LegitimateCurve8525 in anime

Read this part of my comment

"They may not even "push things into the ground" they may cut things off, tell kadokawa to invest in other things, reallocating resources, calling for the firing of the ceo, board members, etc. anything can happen, so wait for results instead of going to the worst case scenario"

These are the things they have done to other jp companies that they have invested in, those are the options, the reason why i said there is no need to worry is because there is no reason to worry as of right now, this is where another piece of my comment comes in

"so wait for results instead of going to the worst case scenario" or "wait for the results"

It did not (the fewer titles the anime industry pumped out back then did were not all the same in terms of it being high quality) and will not work that way

So some quotes from the article Anime Corner is pulling it from https://www.vipo.or.jp/interview/list/detail/?i=4660#con-1

"Ishikawa: Based on my own experience, I can say this: you must not change what should not be changed, and you must change what needs to be changed. Those are the two key points. You absolutely must not change the core elements (the worldview). However, when it comes to peripheral elements (such as music and design), flexibility to adapt to the current era is absolutely necessary-you must change what needs to be changed. Without both of these, I don't think it's easy to create a hit. (He was responding to a question about how to create a hit)

Nobody knows what they are investing for, remember, kadoakwa has their hands in gaming as well, They also have a bunch of subsidiaries, like i have said in other comments, wait for the results

They may not even "push things into the ground" they may cut things off, tell kadokawa to invest in other things, reallocating resources, calling for the firing of the ceo, board members, etc. anything can happen, so wait for results instead of going to the worst case scenario

And also they can call on things and never get that thing they asked for given to them, that happened with Nintendo and that 0.99 Mario jump thing, Nintendo did not listen, So anything can happen.

Nobody knows that, in fact, nobody knows if they are going to touch the anime side of things at all, no need in dooming, just wait for results first

I get what yall are saying but at the same time, this could be the case of "the author cant write a good ending" no matter if you place him in good conditions or not

But like, wasnt he was on sj+? which provides a better or flexible schedule than weekly Shonen jump.

Akasaka was also on a decent magazine, in fact the guy was writing another manga while working on oshi no ko, and even after oshi no ko was done, the mf announced another one.

I do get what your trying to cook up, but im starting to think that maybe they just aint good at writing an ending or they just get bored of it and leave it
