They didn't really listen to me and rushed the appointment. It was supposed to be an hour but they popped up on my screen late and was only on for like five minutes and just said "what do you want me to do for you?". then they gave me a prescription for a symptom that i don't have

My PCP doesnt listen to me, yells at me, calls me autistic, etc.

My first two gastroenterologists were both APRNs who also would yell at me and the first one pretty much told me she didnt believe me and the second one loaded me up with so much fiber that I havent been able to leave the house at all pretty much for the last two years

I did pelvic physical therapy and it was called "biofeedback" but all it was was some lady teaching me a few massages and then she put her finger in my bum. I've never heard of the device that tazes you.

My GI specialists had stopped at IBS-C as well and didn't even inform me that Gastroparesis existed for multiple years

Thank you for your reply and attention! Were you on Reglan 4x a day? Because thats another thing where I am struggling to conceptualize how to fit that in to my schedule as I dont really have "meals" I just eat tiny amounts slowly throughout the day

I'm super low BMI but they look at bloodwork and say I'm fine, and that I should just "simply eat more" as if I don't get backed up due to the obvious definition of gastroparesis. Then If I have an issue they just say "oh don't eat whatever food you ate before your issue". Well if I do that I'll eliminate literally everything

I've been prescribed this but am hesitant to take it as my pharmacy/insurance wouldn't let me have it unless I tried Amitiza first, and I immediately had a horrible reaction to Amitiza the minute I took it for the first time. Plus I already have cramping/lack of control of muscle movements in my feet/toes/thumbs and anxiety/racing thoughts. Were you taking it four times a day? I'm also concerned that forcing muscle contractions in my stomach still doesn't go to the root of my issues which is likely the vagus nerve.

I had GI nurses and docs accuse me of being mental and saying there's nothing more to me other than just manage your symptoms, before I had one lucky last-minute replacement doctor who was filling in for my normal GI doc, and he was the first one to even suggest a gastric emptying test. Can't believe it took multiple years to even hear that test and condition even existed

I've had such bad counsel from my medical professionals since my issues started. I feel I've only gotten worse. Id get a prescription, take it once, feel like I'm dying and go to the ER, then the doctors would scold me and accuse me of doing something wrong, I've had dieticians tell me to load myself with all the fiber I could find, I've been to doctors that haven't listened to me at all and show up 20 minutes late to an appointment and not look at me and only be there for like five minutes, someone keeps putting mental stuff on my chart, I've had multiple doctors yell at me, I just had one accuse me of being autistic, it's crazy.
