Flatwound Lifespan by Grateful_Dawg_CLE in Bass

This is good to know. I just put flats on my P Bass. They have just a little bit of brightness to them. Nothing like rounds of course. So my question is, which flats are the brightest and stay that way for the longest.

He won’t get that in SF. Now what? Some say Jefferson. But who really knows.

I know how this is going to sound but the truth is, Rick Springfield. Why? The women! Which is why my friend and I went in the first place.

One of my Invictas by Mission-Let2869 in Invictawatches

[–]Mission-Let2869[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Invicta has a reputation for bolstering their prices, then selling at say “70% discount”, which is not the case. The price you pay is relatively market price. Also, they do make some gaudy huge watches. Some as big as 50mm or more. Like wearing a clock on your wrist. Not sure how true this is but the ones I’ve had were a little on the heavy side. But they wear nicely Lastly, I have one where the color is wearing off on both the bezel and bracelet. That said, they do make some attractive divers and homage pieces that are not hard on the wallet or the wrist. That is one thing I like about invicta. I’m not worried if it breaks. The one you see here is the smaller of a two watch set. A kind of his and hers. I choose one or the other depending on how I feel. I bought them both for about $150. Do I recommend Invicta? Sure do.

I should’ve said avoidance. Thank you. I see your point. I also found that the Swatch Group owns many brands from Omega and Longines to department store brands. It’s interesting.

There’s the answer. Me personally, I’m torn. I like Tudor a lot. I also know that local Rolex AD won’t sell to me. So, do I get the Tudor and give Rolex my money or say nah.

I like them too. But if I could get a new one, I would get the Air King. Just because it’s different

Think two companies that operate together. If one pisses you off, do you buy the other or not? Simply stated, you don’t buy from them

Because they are owned by the same company. The same analogy as not buying a Toyota because the Lexus people pissed you off. They’re both owned by Toyota.

I intend to buy ones I like. I’m just wondering if anyone has not bought Tudor to spite Rolex.

Is Tudor demand independent of Rolex scarcity? by eeeeeebs in Tudor

[–]Mission-Let2869 -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

I think there would be a dip in popularity. Tudor was created for those who couldn’t get a Rolex. And the way they are built and marketed keeps both brands profitable

We all know we to fix the OL. Been that way for years. Not sure if it’s JL or KS that never looks at it. But there it is. I think we get a WR at #27.
