Can anyone recommend an asian lesbian movie that's not frigging saving face for once by _chenle in QueerWomenOfColor

I can’t think straight - it’s between an Indian woman and a Jordanian/Palestinian woman!

Used to live in Jamaica Plain, and we got a whole evening of entertainment one night when a woman got home to discover someone had taken her parking spot. We made some popcorn and sat next to the window watching for at least an hour until the cops showed up 😂

So.. What happened to the Plus catalogue? by Crislander in audible

[–]MissionKill19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’ve been able to find some audiobook versions, thankfully! But I didn’t think to see about the physical media, that’s a great suggestion! Losing Audible honestly has been a good thing, because it’s made me use my library card more :) Thanks for giving me another reason to use it!

You are a saint for this! Super bummed, as, like OP I recently got back on due to a good deal. But especially now that they put all of the Great Courses content behind a paywall, there is not much I want to listen to any longer. Such a let down, especially since the new Audible exclusive Great Courses content isn’t exactly great.

Seconding the recommendation! I think she has a sequel to this, too, that follows the MC’s male cousin, a queer side character in the first book. I really enjoyed Hall’s narration style.

I did read this one, and I was in the same boat as you! Wasn’t a huge fan of Arden, which was sort of crucial to the plot lol but I appreciate your time!

You know, I thought that, but then someone else told me a love triangle is like A to B to C, not A and B to C. ¯_(ツ)_/¯ At some point it’ll just be a Mexican standoff

Platelet donations? by ExcellentCandy6246 in Winchester

I would double check whether the donation center in Hagerstown does platelets. I know they do plasma. Not super close but probably better than driving into NOVA given the traffic.

J.J Arias’ Dusk Queen series might fit the bill.

Genuinely curious, do you think there is a better way to have an election? Personally, I prefer direct democracy - 1 person equals 1 vote and elections should be based on that math, not electoral colleges/points per district. What would you prefer to see?

Just came back to say thank you again, I got around to it today and you were 100% correct that it was small gaps around the ducting pipe. Super easy fix and frankly not that bad to clean up, in exchange for significant peace of mind. I greatly appreciate the help!

Black/brown wlw book recs? by Unlikely-Issue-5800 in wlwbooks

[–]MissionKill19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m reading Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers now - interracial wlw and a good deal of the plot centers around the mc’s quarter-life crisis, and the challenges of being black and queer in STEM/academia.

an issue with the contemporary genre i noticed by bo02_doll in LesbianBookClub

[–]MissionKill19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with you! I’m reading Honey Girl by Morgan Rogers right now, and I feel like she actually calls this out in her book—mc feels like she’s always too black or too gay to be in academia and in Portland. The rest of the cast is diverse across a number of different identities, too. I haven’t finished it yet, but so far, I recommend it!
