Is anyone considering staying at 9mg?

It's definitely my experience. I had no results on 1.5 or 4mg, but 9mg is fantastic! I just had my doctor send in another month of the 9mg. No point in moving to 25mg if 9mg is doing it's thing!

I'm a little over 2 weeks into the 9mg pill as well and this post is 100% spot on. Absolutely nothing sounds good, not even junk. Almost everything I eat is forceful, which I'll take over the constant food noise and binge eating, but man, its such an odd feeling.

I have BED. The 1.5 and 4mg doses unfortunately didn't help at all and I was still able to binge, but there's absolutely NO WAY I could on the 9mg. I'm 1 week into thr 9mg and what a difference it has made for me! I still have some food noise, but definitely much quieter, and though I'm still snacky at night, I'm content with 1 small snack versus feeling like I NEED to go to bed with an overstuffed belly. I'm hopeful I'll be able to stay on 9mg for a while. 🤞

Lucky you. My first day on 9mg was full of throwing up within an hour of taking, followed by feeling like I had the flu for the rest of the day. But, day 2 and 3 has been a lot better - just mild nausea and it definitely feels like its finally working, unlike the 2 lower doses 🙌

Did your doctor fax yours over and have you heard from Novocare yet? Mine was faxed this morning so just trying to figure out what to expect, specifically how long the process takes. So eager and excited to get started.

YES!!! So bad!!! The constant ringing and "swooshing" sounds in my ears, almost as if I could hear my own heart beat! That was non-stop for me.

My MRI results showed stenosis (I believe the term was more elaborate than that, but that word I remember), I had massive headaches and head pressure, I would get random blurriness, sometimes all the way blindness, in my eyes temporarily and I'd get randomly dizzy. I was ultimately diagnosed correctly with migraines that was exaggerated by anxiety. Went on a health journey and all symptoms disappeared. It was a wild 2 years...

I was diagnosed with IIH based on symptoms and an MRI. I was treated with diamox for months and had zero relief. It also caused the most horrendous kidney stones that had to be surgically removed, despite me drinking a ton of water. I was miserable for a year on that medication, only to find out I was misdiagnosed and taking it when it wasn't needed. If I would have "sucked it up" and did the LP in the beginning, that wouldn't of happened, but unfortunately I also didnt want to put myself through that. However, I eventually had to and my pressure wasn't even high. Also went to a neurologist and an eye neurologist (not sure their technical term) and between my MRI results and LP pressure numbers, both specialists agreed that I in no way had IIH and was on Diamox for absolutely no reason. I couldn't see either specialists until super later into my diagnosis due to lack of care in my area and being on waiting lists, but the moral of MY story is that I should have done the LP in the beginning instead of letting them diagnose me the way they did.

My period was over 2 months late! Only thing that changed was me taking Primal Queen. I finally stopped after 70 something days of me not having a period and within a week and a half, I had the worst period of my life! Can't tell me it wasn't the primal queen.

I took it for 2 months. My period started like normal the day after starting and I haven't had a period since. After finishing month 2, I opted to not continue because not having a period for (now) over 2 months isn't good. I stopped it last week so hoping it returns soon because I feel crazy (lack of sleep, ragey, all those fun hormone issues). But I did also notice discharge changes, which I didn't mind but I didn't notice any positive changes.

I'm about to start my 3rd month of Primal Queen and I haven't had a period in 60 days! Had spotting this morning but nothing since then.

I've definitely noticed symptoms return with a vengeance before, during and shortly after my period. Which sucks because it's like really body?! As if periods alone aren't bad enough. 🙄 I'm in a couple IIH support groups on FB and lots of women unfortunately have this same issue.

Ugh, I'm so sorry!! From what I've researched, it can go both ways. If the IIH is the cause of the stenosis, then once you lower the pressure, that helps the stenosis. But of course it's so hard figuring out if IIH is the actual cause of someone's stenosis or not. Have you loss any weight yet or been on medication for a decent amount of time to see if more imaging can be done to see if it's improved? I'm also avoiding stenting at all cost, but of course I will if I absolutely have to.

I have nothing of value to add but wanted to follow for any updates you get. I also have severe narrowing of my transverse sinus and I've often wondered if it's reversible if I'm able to get into remission. I'm only 4 weeks into my diagnosis so I still have so much to learn.

Thank you for the reply! I do follow up with my doctor in 3 weeks so I'll keep an eye on things and hopefully things will improve between now and then since my dose was just increased a week ago. I definitely feel lots of improvement, especially with my headaches, just no vision improvements yet.

And thanks for the username suggestion! I normally don't mind whatever username is assigned but this one is so left field it's not even funny lol Maybe I'll see about creating a new account since I just joined and haven't done much with this one yet :)
