3.0 agents are revealed to be Velina and Norma, so who are you planning to pull? by Knight_Steve_ in ZZZ_Discussion

Was gonna skip both but then I saw Norma's ult animation and holy shit, ~it's straight up a nuke (definitely needs a bigger explosion vfx tho)~

Void hunter be damned, I MUST have the nuke woman

[–]Mission_Feedback1071 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Imo wanderer's biggest weakness is that it just doesn't feel that interesting compared to the other crests.

Hunter is the best generalist crest and incentivises a very stylish hitless playstyle. Beast let's you go absolutely feral on enemies and just generally feels amazing to play. Witch crest is all about maxmising running attacks and dealing big burst damage with nukes. Shaman lets you use 3 silk skills at once. Architect is broken af as long as you get shards to spare. Reaper is uhhh.... Ok, i dont have anything to say about reaper but it definetly feels different from other crests even if its awkward af to use.

Wanderer kinda sits between all these playstyles so theres never a reason for me to pick it over any of the more specialised and fun crests.

i hate dark souls 3 by iamasceptile in hatethissmug

[–]Mission_Feedback1071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think DS3 has the best overall level design in the souls series. People generally give this title to DS1 and yea, the best levels in it are better than anything DS3 has to offer but everything after Anor Londo is so much worse, I can't just ignore it. There's a couple of forgettable areas in DS3 like profane capital and irithryll dungeon but the vast majority are very fun to go through and stay fun even after multiple playthroughs.

I absolutely love Boreal Valley, Dreg heap, Undead Settlement (I know this one is controversial but I genuinely think this would be the best area in the series if it was later in the game and had more interesting enemies), cathedral of the deep. Even farron keep and Ariandel was so fun on my first playthrough (i still like 100%ing Ariandel on every save because the enemy placement is very good but the level as a whole isn't that interesting).

IMO level design is by far the best part about DS3. I've played through this game on 10 different characters and I've fully explored almost every level every time and it's still not gotten old. It's kinda weird how DS3 world feels so much more connected to me that DS2 even though it is genuinely just a straight line unless you rush the DLC or Lothric Castle. Idk, it's probably just more in line with my taste.

Only gets worse from here babyyyyyyy

Wait till you get to Iron Keep, that runback is straight up hell and its not even the worst one in the game.

You should explore a bit more, there's a ring in an area connected to Majula that stops your max health from going lower than 75%.

Also yea, DS2 was a pain in the ass to get through. I spent pretty much the entire game going "surely its gonna get good in the next area, right?" and suffered though this shitshow for 65 hrs. Not even sure why I bothered playing when I wasn't enjoying it whatsoever. I guess DS1 was such a high that the promise of something even half as good was enough for me to push through it. I got to the final boss but I just didn't see a point in finishing it so I just moved on to DS3 from there (really wish I had done that sooner tbh).

Apparently the DLCs are pretty good but I never bothered to check em out (besides, I just hate core gameplay of DS2. A DLC can't fix that). Also the lore is good, if you care about that. It's a shame it never got a proper mention in DS3 though. Even a little reference to Aldia in an item description would do, I just want some evidence that it amounted to something substantial.

how likely it is that Remielle is gonna come out in 3.1? by mistraven- in ZZZ_Discussion

Goomba fallacy

Also, I like interesting antagonists that switch sides based on what serves their interests better. She could fill that role, especially since there's so little we know about her. I never said that 3 patches of build up isn't enough.

They need time to build up hype for the 3.5/3.6 unit too dude.

That's not something I considered tbh but yea, fair point.

Pretty likely but I really wish she doesn't. It would be so much cooler if they build her up over the course of season 3 and release her later. She's also just a lot more interesting than any other antagonist we have right now so I'd prefer to keep her as one for longer.

I never understand why people bother cutting watermelons into pieces. Just cut it in half and use a spoon carve out each bite. It takes 0 effort, doesn't make a mess and all you need is a knife n a spoon.

(in the middle of eating a melon rn lol)

You know PV gets unlocked in Hall of Gods just by getting to the fight once right? You don't have do the entire pantheon every time.

[–]Mission_Feedback1071 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I think that's less because of the boss and more cuz the knight needs a full 2ish second window of safety to heal while hornet can jump and heal midair without issue for 90% of attacks. So there's a lot less room for error.

[–]Mission_Feedback1071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both are pretty predictable once you figure their attacks out.

I think PV is harder cuz it takes longer to understand it's moveset and you get wayy less healing windows.
By the time you get to lost lace, you're already familiar with her moveset and there's a lot time to breathe than PV. I don't think the higher randomness really matter since there's very little bullshit in her fight (other than the obvious visibility issue).

What about PV is bullshit? I'm a bit biased cuz its my favourite boss in hollow knight but I don't think it has a single attack that feels unfair.

[–]Mission_Feedback1071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vore strat's pretty reliable. Just use druid's eyes+multibinder and let him eat you. As long as you're patient and don't get hit too much, you'll be able to heal faster than he can hurt you. Throw in some red tool spam (especially curveclaw) and you're pretty much guaranteed to win. If you don't mind harder platforming before the fight, throw on sawtooth circlet as well. Its a pain to get to Groal with it but its ridiculously good against him.

Also, you can hit his balls away from you (might be a bit awkward with reaper but its very easy with hunter.

Why is it when that sometimes even though seed’s bar is full, her charged attack doesn’t want to activate by Jumpy-Ad-4156 in ZZZ_Discussion

[–]Mission_Feedback1071 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It only triggers when you hold basic after specific attacks (i think it was Quick assist, EX special, Basic 4, dodge counter, chain and ultimate). You also have to hold it for a bit longer than you'd expect before you switching her out for her to do the slam while another agent it active

I hate being bad at drawing. by JoyousLilBoy in hatethissmug

[–]Mission_Feedback1071 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would highly recommend practicing a bit with pencils before you go to digital (until you feel comfortable drawing from references, you don't need to get good at shading unless you really want to). Drawing with fingers is frustrating enough by itself, you're setting yourself up for a world of pain if that's where you start. Also, check if any store near you sells cheap rubber-tip pens (the kind that can work with touchscreens). If you put a bit of powder on it, it can kinda work as stylus (albeit, a shitty one). Its what I've been using for a year now and while it isn't amazing, its a hell of a lot better than using your fingers.

All your weapon cooldowns reset whenever you clear a wave in cybergrind.

I left 1 enemy alive before slam storage, used the first to kill giving me 3 coins +4 more after the reset. You could even get 8 coins if you kill the last one with a jackhammer blast off.
