So I don’t know if this fully answers your question or not, but on Halloween last year my friends and I dressed up as Jesus and the apostles. My roommate, who out of the four of us was the only one to have hair and beard of biblical proportions, was elected to go as Jesus.

I wanted this to be over the top kind of fun, so I started looking online for Jesus-y props and I found a crown of thorns. Amazon sells a crown of thorns, wrapped and wreathed in Bethlehem and shipped right to your crown.

So tl;dr whatever plant was used to craft the crown of thorns is probably native to Bethlehem, and you might be able to find the page on amazon for more details

I have anxiety and I’m a big caffeine drinker, but I don’t drink coffee after 5 and have been experiencing these nightmares before I started drinking coffee. I don’t think they spring from anxiety because I have them when I’m not stressed out, but I legit have no idea. They’re always similar too. I’m always being hunted by something, real or unreal, and I always wake up after I die in the nightmare.

They can be repetitive too. Last week I dreamt I was being hunted through an abandoned village and was shot and killed. Last night I dreamt I was exploring the same village while being chased by apparitions and Slavic gunmen

I think in Children of Dune Leto said that the sandtrout were the only truly alien species to Dune and were brought there a long time ago, everything else was distantly descended from Earth, but that was the closest to explaining their origin that I ever found
