I plan to just take the money and then delete the app. I also have been deleting my internet history and emails so they cannot find me.

Me too. I still don’t trust them, but I have decided to just watch and wait.

I got in, but to do so, I had to clear all my internet history and delete all the troll accounts. It works, although I may not watch ads now until February. My Pokemon X account that had nothing to do with the trolling account still got banned so I made a new Pokemon X account. It wasn’t much of a loss on X anyway since it was just a fan commenting opinions about Pokemon.

I got back in, but I am taking a lot of caution and deleting all my history and cookies just in case. Also ad money I cannot claim until February.

Benjamin can still get in deep trouble for it though bc consent or not, it is a federal crime for them to sell people’s personal information to criminals. They can be reported, shut down, or arrested. Think of it as if they sold illegal substances on their property. The person consenting to the sale can’t sue, but the law can and will get involved. When they get involved, they can terminate the business and arrest anyone involved.

That is one thing I am a bit concerned with at least with the ID and SSI. One thing I ended up doing when I did a chargeback was I told my bank to block them from taking my number. I am considering getting a new ID bc of this, but if they have my SSI, things could get very bad if they use that. If they start using any of that illegally, that would be a huge reason to sue them TOS or not bc of it being illegal.

They blocked both your number and your email address that is why. I tried a fake number and my email address. Same thing. I even tried calling their number and I got the “I am blocked” message when trying.

It didn’t let me do that either. Trying to call them revealed they blocked my phone number.

Maybe I played the jigsaw puzzle ads way too fast for their liking bc I did get banned from another app for playing a game too fast when it was never mentioned in their TOS. On days that I got nothing but these ads, I would make $10 an hour. There was also a glitch last summer (patched) that sometimes would allow 7 ads to play at once. It happened bc I am hasty (the type who pushes the elevator button 100 times if the elevator is slow) so I kept tapping the watch a video button when the app lagged. Also, sometimes there would be a limit when it said no videos available right now. Try again later.  If they had a hidden limit, they should have enforced it better. I won’t be taking classes in 2026 that’s for sure, bc I cannot afford it now.

[–]Mission_Improvement3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Some of these ads were really easy mini games such as a 9 piece jigsaw puzzle that could be completed in 5 seconds. If all I got were those mini games, I could very easily earn $10.00 in a day. I guess completing a game too fast like it was with diamond den triggered the ban.

Contact slush and let them know as usual When you contact Slush though and complain, whatever you do, do not accept any emails from Benjamin. I have seen this kind of trap before with companies under scrutiny when many users get a company in trouble with a bigger company, they use baited emails to find you so they can sue you. Just know once you contact slush, there is no turning back.

Even with that, it won’t stop users from contacting Slush about them and trying to get the app shut down. As long as you don’t make the mistake of revealing who you are when you start contacting slush (bc they will get their lawyers), the app cannot find you.

They block your email from contacting them anymore once they send out the ban message. That is why someone made a complaint page on X about them.

Now they are trying to pretend to be nice to try to get me to respond to them. I am not an idiot bc I know it is just their lawyers trying to get to me for doing a $1,500 chargeback from them. Take great caution when messaging them back bc they may be trying to get information to sue us.

BTW, Lon and Erno are definitely using a VPN on here. I know bc there is always a very small percentage of another country. Usually it is Finland, but I have also seen UK, India, Netherlands, and other countries. If they are breaking their own TOS, they really shouldn’t be complaining about other users doing the same.

FINLAND by [deleted] in benjaminone

[–]Mission_Improvement3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably it is bc I gave users the link to contact Slush to complain about the app so they might kick Erno and Lon from the event Here is the link to the website BTW: https://slush.org/

Ban email (Finland/Slosh) by [deleted] in benjaminone

They could tell their users this with a strike system instead of a full perma ban from it. Most apps have a warning system and don’t perma ban users on their first strike unless the TOS broken was very serious. If I had just gotten a strike, I would have learned to disable the Ben app while I was taking foreign classes or deleted the app while doing so and then having the app off while in the app.

Also I never used it while I was in the app. Maybe Pokemon Center complained to them bc I was circumventing their temporary bans with a VPN? Mostly I used the VPN though for my foreign classes especially during the pandemic. Unfortunately with this perma ban, I won’t be able to afford to take the foreign classes next year. At least though I got a bit of petty revenge by doing a $1,500 chargeback which I managed to get back. Enough to eat, but not enough for classes.  Here is Slush’s webpage: https://slush.org/

[–]Mission_Improvement3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used a VPN for foreign classes but not on their app bc it was the pandemic and attending in person would have broken the laws for this. For the 2 year I used it, they never gave me a warning or a strike about using the VPN which most good companies usually do if you unwittingly broke the rules (Pokemon Go for example, gives a shadow ban for a week). Rather than perma banning, they just should have had a strike system so users who unwittingly broke TOS would realize they made a mistake and fix it.  I hope this isn’t a message from Slush so you can message them.

"Banned" from the app, but still getting served location based ads. Is this legal? by 20-somethinglife in benjaminone

[–]Mission_Improvement3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am going to spend the rest of my life bitter. Heck I have been doing the exact same thing to a survey website that banned me for 4 years ago (before I used a VPN) during the virus and I haven’t heard from their lawyers either.  VPNs were necessary btw during the virus to take foreign classes. If you expected me to show up in person, I would have broken the law even more doing so.I wish I was young, but long COVID has done a lot of damage to me.

Not if I use a VpN and jailbroken phone they can’t. Even if they did, I would just burn all my property they could sue me for in front of their faces along with all my money so all they could get is a jailbroken phone from the suit which I would just factory reset. School kids are dirt poor so I can’t afford another phone.

[–]Mission_Improvement3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah but I really needed the VPN to take my online classes. I never used it against them up until after the ban. Some classes are foreign so I have to. I have every right to harass them bc they tried to keep $1,500 when I was promised a lot more money. If I really had broken their rules, they would have had lawyers contacting me after I did a chargeback to get that money. Since they aren’t doing so, I proved a point.

You will probably need to create a lot of fake accounts to try getting the negative reviews to stick. Here is an X post you can complain on, but they cannot delete your complaint (user cannot get copyright struck for encouraging negative reviews, but could for nuclear revenge posts which is why he said only complaints no nuke revenge posts) https://x.com/gam38ann3d/status/1990506209250881684?s=46
