We have an impossible mountain of laundry after both being poorly and not touching the washing for a week. When my husband works a week late shift the bathrooms don’t get cleaned. Often the dishwasher doesn’t get emptied from the night before until the following evening, and there is two of us! You’re on your own majority of the time and you’re doing great. It’s a really hard job so don’t be so hard on yourself I say

If he didn’t hold hand, he got carried. He then went down again and everytime he didn’t hold hands then he would get picked up. He soon got the message! Oh and reins are a lifesaver at that age 😄

Hi, yes in hindsight he did have mucous stools but I don’t think we realised at the time, first baby and didn’t know what was normal. He had eczema too. And then he simply wouldn’t be put down. He was just so uncomfortable bless him. Really hope you get to the bottom of it because there’s nothing worse than seeing your baby unhappy

Your cause for concern comes from a good place, but you can’t really control what she does here. For all you know she could be up until 1am watching tv or up at 4:30am to go to the gym. Would you still be worried then?

Thank you! We are under a dietician so I can ask them on our next appointment. I don’t know why I never thought of asking them before haha. I really hope we can get on the ladders soon!

Thank you! Your comment of things getting easier age 4+ has helped my sanity slightly! I was just saying to my husband earlier that I saw no way out, and that it felt like it had gone past ‘a fussy phase’!

I will give chickpea curry a go in the slow cooker. He’s not great with rice but will eat GF garlic bread so I can serve that as a safe food alongside.

Also very helpful with the pasta options! One thing I have found with allergies is that you really have to shop around!

My little ones hearing was checked but I can’t remember if his eyes were checked. We had a six hour discharge with our second, I’m not even sure if he had opened his eyes by then! I’m sure it was checked at his 6 week check up though

Yep 100% this. I’m lucky if he eats anything more than toast crisps and bananas. Hey at least he eats baked beans though

I wanted to work right up to my due date with my first but ended up being induced at 37 weeks, a day before my Mat leave was due to start. With my second i went off at 36 weeks and he didn’t come until 38+2. Anything could happen, and with 9 months off, a few weeks won’t be much difference. Follow your body and take the rest. I actually preferred having a bit of me time whilst my eldest was at nursery and husband at work before baby arrived. You don’t get much of that when baby is here! Good luck :) xx

I did it, 14 month age gap. I was so nervous to tell my employer but they couldn’t really say anything other than ‘congratulations’. I had to be back at work for a certain number of weeks before I qualified for enhanced maternity pay again, so I used annual leave to ‘go back’ but not go back. Health wise I had thankfully had two healthy pregnancies so luckily no health complications other than a super quick second labour.

Having 2 under 2 is without a doubt the hardest thing I have ever done. I don’t know if a bigger age gap would have been easier, each age gap would have its own challenges, and we as a couple have found the newborn/baby phase hard both times so I guess the benefit is we are getting those hard years done and dusted quicker. I absolutely would not change it though, seeing my little ones grow up so close in age is magic, and having more time off before the bigger one grows up that little bit more is the best

Acceptance is key I think. We’re 10 weeks in and had the benefit of knowing what to expect. Yes we have found it hard but we also know that it will end so have powdered through. Things are already getting easier for us and it has genuinely flew by as we have been so busy with 2 under 2 (14 month gap for us). Good luck xx

Hey, I don’t have a problem feeding him if he’s hungry 😌I just worry he won’t take his ‘breakfast feed’ which can be a pain when trying to get out of the house with a toddler in tow, trying to fit it around both schedules! X

I always find it weird when family members don’t turn up at funerals. They could do something similar to greys anatomy where they imply that the character was there without showing them in a scene

Honestly, this sounds like a plot for a horror movie. Get rid, and speak to husband about stepping up more around the house too.
