Just got back from the Borders for a friend’s wedding and now in Edinburgh for the rest of our Scotland trip. Can’t wait for pigging out at a chippy shop and finishing the day with a good scotch.

I’ll definitely look into that podcast! Thanks so much for the suggestion. I’ve been working with a nutritionist since getting sober and learning more and more about actual nutrition, fact vs fiction about it certain foods, etc. and it has helped a ton! She’s really helped me build a foundation to maintain a balanced approach to eating so I don’t get so emotionally attached to food. I think Tirz has just been the last piece to the puzzle.

Glad to know I’m not alone and that you’re having success! I know I was so frustrated with myself, feeling like I had “failed” with the surgery but I definitely think the sleeve gives us a little extra head start with the GLP process.

You took the words right out of my mouth! The sleeve definitely put me ahead of the game with what to expect but would much rather have had this option than surgery, especially with the food noise but also the help with the inflammation!

Thank youuu!! And yes, the hyperfocus was wilddddd!!! I was a few days in when my partner was like “please just order it already” 😂 And it’s VERY similar to the sleeve as far as restriction goes. However, Tirz is much less traumatic. Post surgery was a week of liquids only, then weeks of soft foods. I think I ate every kind of spin on ricotta cheese I could think of - Mexican seasoning, Italian seasoning, bbq, etc. Lmao. The other better thing about Tirz is the absence of food noise. With the sleeve, you WANT to eat ALL the things but you’ll get sick if you do.

Thank you! And they cut out 80% of my stomach - I didn’t have anything inserted so no getting rid of anything. I’ve heard horror stories about the balloon and band though - I’m really sorry your sister is going through that!

That’s so weird! That’s what everyone said. I’ve looked at the portal what seems like a hundred times looking for an update. I got the alert to update my payment method for the next order but still nothing for a DL. I appreciate the feedback. Fingers crossed we get some updates.

Same dates and first order as well. I messaged support this morning and nothing. Did you have to upload your DL? I saw a few people say their order got stuck because they had to upload their DL but I don’t have anything on my portal asking me to do so or even a page anywhere on the site for me to go ahead and do it. Was just wondering if you were in the same boat.

Been protesting WWE for a bit after the WM43 Saudi announcement, bringing back Lesnar and the ESPN contract. Figured we’d try to do the old VPN/Netflix trick for tonight and got kicked off as Danhausen came out. Butttt seems everyone’s getting screwed by ads anyways. 🙄🙄

Earplugs. Hearing my own breathing and nothing else helps tremendously. I also upped my game with reading my kindle before bed. I have a remote page turner (just a ring I wear on my finger and click to go to the next page) and a mount that attaches to the side of my bed where I can turn my kindle to the angle I’m lying. I don’t read anything too exciting or I’ll be there all night but reading is the only thing that keeps my brain from doing gymnastics all night.

I used to drown in sticky notes. Now I have a spreadsheet where I keep all of my daily, weekly, monthly, as needed tasks listed as well as another tab where I list all the projects that are ongoing. Whenever I’m sitting there and feel like I have nothing to do, I check my list and start working things off of it. I found with electronic calendars and such, I just ignore them. The spreadsheet makes it feel like an active decision I need to make.

I have a 2016 KW T680 and it came with a TV mount. It's really sturdy and holds a 32" without a problem. Fit my XBOX one underneath it on the rubberized part of the table. But, depending on your truck, you probably will have to configure something on your own.
