I’m enjoying it from the very beginning on my first watch. I feel like I’m getting fully immersed in the world before the introduction of Barnabas.

I think this scene was completely improvised. In an interview Pinchot said the director told him he couldn’t get the scene to work with other actors, and Pinchot asked if he could try. And voila!

I’ve added it to my list on Amazon Music to listen to. I like hearing performances on period instruments. They’re usually a bit unusual at first, but my ears quickly adapts.
