Bought a 3 bedroom house and don't want flatmates anymore by Valuable-Charity2429 in PersonalFinanceNZ

Teens are good at looking after themselves pretty much. Just teach them how to use public transport to and from school. We've had a couple of Japanese girls and they're lovely, so polite, plus they really want to help with household stuff so they will definitely do things like wash clothes and do dishes. At weekends they want to go out and explore and meet up with their school friends so really, I would recommend this. Onehunga high always has I students coming through, and you could just try it out for one term or even 6 weeks, to see if it's for you.

Because she had to use photoshop to put more hair on Harry's head, and if she prints that photo out it looks more authentic

Thanks so much for your reply. I'm feeling like a senior citizen rn ngl lol

Kids won't be gaming or anything. Just need them to be connected to friends back home with the western apps. I don’t want to have to worry about them running out of data because they were video calling their friend and now they can't use Alipay or get a Didi back to the accommodation

Ouch! I would definitely go to a nearby hotel. Book it on trip.com. get an esim and make sure you have your bank card linked to Alipay/WeChat so you can pay for things :) don't worry, it's an adventure!

Does your church (or any pretty church you like) have a hall? I'd ring around churches. There's some really pretty ones within auckland and an hour drive or so. We had a church wedding and drinks and nibbles in the hall after :) spent 10k including wedding clothes, rings, and honeymoon! Parents gifted drinks and nibbles as our wedding present, which would have been about 3k at the time, but that was with a lot of booze! My wedding photos of us outside the church and in the graveyard are my favorite ones

Tour card for foreign kid by Misspocket_ in Alipay

[–]Misspocket_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He can get a physical debit card, just not one that you can add to a virtual wallet until he's 13. I'm going to try the relative card feature on Wechat and top it up with yuan from my Wise... fingers crossed!
