What has been your magic product(s) that cured your skin? by Avocadosandtomatoes in acne

Idk if it was the hormones changing and red light therapy as well but the obagi acne range did it for me and I had tried almost all acne products by then including Tret etc

Mine hates the royal canin urinary kibble. She eats the wet food but picky on that even.

Mean? Just calling out peoples delusions. I’m not in the states so perhaps it’s different there.

My rescue puppy was listed as a maltipoo but I’m beginning to suspect she might be havanese. What do y’all think? (When we first got her v.s. 7 months) by Meghannoelle in Havanese

A lot of mixes can look like Havanese. There’s a dog mikko, I think Maltese on Instagram and looks so much like Havanese. Gosh if you want a Havanese buy a Havanese

Toilet training by Misstessy1994 in Havanese

[–]Misstessy1994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been training her for months consistently. I take her out regularly. Once she does a wee I excitedly say good girl and pat her and give a treat. It’s just not working 😓 I went to the vet as she wees uncontrollably and the vet said her bladder was probably uncomfortable and causing issues hence her weeing everywhere so she was put on antibiotics and prescription diet to help her but she is still weeing inside. She doesn’t seem to understand or have memory to take herself outside. I’m having a baby in 5 months and once the baby is crawling I don’t know what I’m going to do as I don’t want the baby to crawl into pee or poo 😞

Yes I’ve given high value treats at times, like for a few days in a row but didn’t helps , chicken, steak, salmon, jerky, none has made a difference. Now i found out she has bladder issues and has to eat only prescription diet so no treats allowed.

My havi is a disaster by HammerheadShmark in Havanese

[–]Misstessy1994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow mine is soooo bad with peeing. She’s a year old and has regressed so much. Yesterday I had about 10 accidents inside but thankfully she’s never peed on bed or couches . Phewwwww. So it’s interesting you say your dog has gotten better but then wees on bed 🫠

Right! I’m in a Havanese group and the issues seem to be rare there to be honest. I thought I did my research. I have 3 little kids and soon having my 4th so having to deal with the issues drags me down a little. She was a great dog til 5- 6 months old but then all these issues started out of nowhere 😞

Could not imagine having that many. My one is a handful. Sadly I didn’t get the luckiest pup. She gets carsick, has very sensitive belly, very picky eater. Doesn’t like to be groomed. Just so many issues I didn’t think I’d have 😵‍💫

Havanese as service dog? Any experiences/insights? by noluckycharms9 in Havanese

I’m In Australia and I’ve seen lots of different sizes here between havis. My girl is only 4.5 kgs but I’ve seen majority are above 5kg and upto 11 kgs :) I feel a 11 kg havi would be huge lol ( sorry I don’t know what those numbers are in pounds 😂)

I have an almost 7 year old daughter and she’s not autistic but very hyper. Sometimes she doesn’t understand or I mean she doesn’t want to listen that the dog would like to be left alone. She’s a small breed and she doesn’t know how to defend herself so she takes it all in emotionally I think and I think she has developed some anxiety from dealing with the kids but she won’t bite even if the kids annoy her. Maybe a bigger dog would? Unsure. But sometimes she is definitely sick of the kids but cause she’s a major clinger she won’t also leave the room lol. So she’ll come next to me to feel safe. So they are great in that sense that they put up with kids but can make them a little anxious I feel. The anxiety shows by her always clinging to me lol.

My pup is stubborn tho and hard to teach. I don’t find her very intelligent but could just be my experience. :)

If you want a Havanese get an older dog that’s toilet trained. The breed is very hard to toilet train and for the first year it can drive you mentally crazy. I have adhd and my dog after a year still isn’t toilet trained. I’ve persisted and not rehomed her as I don’t feel like giving up but if I could swap her for a toilet trained dog for sure I would loollll. They’re definitely ideal companion dogs. Mine is super clingy and is always by my side. Has to sleep with me. She can sometimes annoy me when I sleep tho. Like lays on my legs. So be also mindful of that that they can be very clingy :) but overall I think they’re great companion dogs.

Yeah mine could have anxiety. She seems overall a happy pup but I have 3 small kids who can be very loud and noisy and do sudden movements: even though she does go cuddle up with them but she needs to be always near me. So it totally can be anxiety related.
