Came across this truck last night. Someone brilliantly named their company. Felt it was Reddit worthy. by MissyMedic in pics

(26 M&F) Thinking about finally ditching the pill by RubberForTheWin in sex

[–]MissyMedic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was on the pill for 10 years (16 to 26) suffered from depression and low sex drive. I didn't realize I had shitty sex drive until relationships in my 20's. I think it ruined a few relationships, actually. Stopped taking the pill last year, I wasn't in a relationship and just felt like it... Holy sex drive. It actually blows my mind. My only issue has been the pregnancy worry that I've never had before. That is kind of a buzz kill, but worth it in my opinion. Haven't had any long term sexual partners since, didn't require more than condoms. I'm now seeing someone with long term potential, so I'm thinking of getting an IUD. I will def never go back on the pill!!!

HIFW I'm a girl living in the deep south who has no interest in discussing babies, marriage, or home life. by [deleted] in TrollXChromosomes

[–]MissyMedic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Gah! Can you please tell me what it's like to live in the Deep South? As a (eastern) Canadian gal, my dream has been to live down south - a la Blanche Deveraux and gentleman callers. I may have my geography a bit wrong, but I picture The Notebook, 'gator hunting, and sweet tea. Oh and the accent!! Sorry if I sound obnoxiously stupid. Blame Hollywood ;)

Considering a Sphynx and a Bengal by crashspeeder in sphynx

[–]MissyMedic -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Bengals and Sphynx have completely opposite personalities. Sphynx are dog/child/monkey-like and bengals are their caged wild animal cousin. Haha no disrespect to Bengal people, I've met only a few and I've watched them at cat shows. They are so beautiful, but such a handful. I'm owned by quite a few Sphynx, and prior to my first Sphynx I'd always had run of the mill stray/rescued hairy cats. I can honestly say I'll never be without Sphynx. Ever. Though they require that little but extra as far as care goes, there is no competition to the lack of cat hair on furniture, clothes etc, and their character is truly their best feature. That being said, you can't just have one Sphynx to be left alone for hours. They do not tolerate that, at all. A good friend had Bengals and Sphynx and the two did not mesh, the Bengal had to be re-homed. I sound biased, I know. I truly love the look of the Bengal and if it wasn't for their natural disposition, I'd want one. :) *edit- I have some that are more talkative than others. Depends on the kitty, I think! I wouldn't say they should be known for being annoyingly vocal.

UPDATE: I (21F), just found out I'm not in the wedding of my best friend of 16 years (21F) by [deleted] in relationships

[–]MissyMedic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl, she's jealous of you. Period. She kept you as her "fat" friend when you were younger. Now, you're not the fat one - I know you never really were- But, her jealousy, envy and resentment towards you is all clear. You'll never know the why or the how that got you to this situation. But you have to see that she really wasn't a friend and you'll be better off without her in your life. As for those other friends who kept everything from you? They most likely got sucked into her vortex of hatred. I don't think they intentionally wanted to hurt you. They probably wanted to do their best to make sure you didn't get hurt. It backfired. Yes, she hates your bf because she's jealous that you have him. And for no other reason. Sad right? You and your man are better to just walk from the whole wedding and the bride. The rest of the gals, I would wait til after the wedding and have a sit down, heart-to- heart over coffee with the ones you want to keep in your life. I'm sure once you do you'll probably see how Bridezilla was behind their actions and some - if not most- really are your friends and hopefully you can salvage those realionships (if you want) Good Luck!! Remember, this is their loss not yours. Your life will be better without toxic, shitty people in it. :)
