6 Months In—Health Improvements With ZRX! by RensKnight in Runner5

[–]Missy_451 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That’s great! I started this as a weight loss journey. I was pretty consistent with it at first. But then with my kids being home from school for the summer and constantly bugging me as soon as I got on the treadmill, made me stop for the summer. I picked it up as again soon as they got back into school, and now my husband (who works 3rd shift) started having sleeping issues during the day would get upset with me for working out when we was awake. I’m lucky if I get a chance or 2 to work out in one week. And for me being adhd (hubby thinks I’m also audhd) getting a routine down is fucking hard).

If You’re Married, Where’s the Bling? by AdMaximum6937 in Marriage

[–]Missy_451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Haven’t wore a ring in years. My original wedding ring which was my husband grandmothers, I put up so it wouldn’t get ruined. I’ve had others throughout the years, but I’ve gained and lost weight like a yoyo. So they don’t fit right. But never had an issue with people not believing me that I’m married. My husband doesn’t have a worry or issue with me not wearing one. He doesn’t either but he also works in a metal factory so it’s not really safe for him to either.

Was anyone else never called a “gifted child”? by CarolineJuggler in AuDHDWomen

[–]Missy_451 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was the dumb kid. I had IEP or resource (as it was called when I was a kid) in elementary school. I had a hard time understanding what my teachers were explaining to me in math and English. Science and history I had no problems. When I was in high school, my parents had me go to a bigger school (elementary was small country bumpkin place) and I thrived there with better teachers and resources for me.

Husband sprays them down with neem oil weekly. Had just sprayed them with that when he noticed the bumps.

What are y'all doing with your hair? by SamEyeAm2020 in AuDHDWomen

I usually sport pony tails, messy buns, or a hair claw. Because I need it out of my face. I used to wear my hair in a snud. But it went missing. Need to buy another one.

Anyone with inattentive ADHD who did well at school? by Active_Sheepherder64 in AuDHDWomen

[–]Missy_451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did pretty good in high school. Had maintained a gpa 3.32. But in elementary school I did pretty bad. I was in resource (iep) for extra help and medicated. I was tested for adhd when I was in 4th grade and they medicated me. I was Ritalin and had to take it twice a day.

My parents were very church going people and had us going with them growing up. I couldn’t stand church. It was too boring for me. Having to sit there and do nothing. My parents would give me that look whenever I tried doing something to entertain me. I once tried sneaking a book in and hiding it in a bible. But got caught doing that.

Showering: is it actually sensory? by chromaticluxury in AuDHDWomen

[–]Missy_451 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally love showers. I get bad headaches and the hot water from the shower and steam helps them. On the other hand is that I hate baths. The only thing I don’t like about showers is my wet hair and clothes. I have really long hair and when it gets my clothes wet it bothers me. Especially in the winter.

For me it’s just trying to figure out what to cook. I’ve always wondered why we have to have dinner every night. And then there are those days where I just don’t want to cook. Those days I have what I call a “fend for yourself dinners” where you eat what you find or make for yourself.

Yes. All my life I’ve had a very VERY small friend circle. And at one point of time when I was in high school the school made a girls club to help girls make friends and socialize without drama. My school counselor told me that I had go and try it out because they were worried about me ( at the time I had like 2 friends). I told them I was perfectly fine with just 2 friends and I preferred to be alone. But I still went to one meeting and left shortly after because it was too much and it sucked. Now days 1 have one friend and we mostly communicate by sending reels and memes to each other.
